  • I want to live on a farm but...?

    Other - Home & Garden - 6 hours ago

    Additional Details

My great-grandma use to live on a farm with all of her children. When all of her kids moved out and her husband died, she felt that she needed some company so now she lives with her son, daughter-in-law, and their kids. My Pappy didn't want to see the farm go, so he kept taking care of it and the animals even though nobody was there. I loved that farm SO much! But when I was 6, my pappy died, and they decided to sell all of the animals because there would be no one to take care of them. I offered to take care of them but how could a 6 yr old take care of cows, pigs, chickens, alot of dogs, etc. I was so crushed, I couldn't stop crying. Now my mom and I are looking to move somewhere and she wants to live in a huge neighborhood in a little house. She is going to make her final deal on Monday to get the house built, but I really want to convince her that we should move to the farm and rebuild my great-grandma's old house. I'm almost 14 yrs old now, so I told her I would take care of all the yardwork (mowing) and I would take care of animals (if we got some). Does this sound like a good idea? Do I not know what I'm getting into? Advice will help thanks, and sorry this is so long :) I know that it's alot of work, but I was also thinking that alot of land would be nice when I have friends over, because in a little house, we would have not very much of a yard.

try to find out right tools to use that online and it is so outrageous. they say a saw is needed and then sand paper and all these big machines, and I just thought a simple dremel tool would be needed but seems those things can only do for metal and wood. so is there no way to have a lil stone hobby and take some rough stones and make them beautiful and shiny right in your own home without having to go to some factory and have it done with huge machines?
  • I bought a corralitos moon hostas for my koi pond, is it good to be planted in the pond?

    Garden & Landscape - 13 hours ago

    Additional Details

I saw a blog sites with pictures that features many hostas planted in the man made streams. I put mine in a taller pot so that kois will not reach it in the middle of the pond. It is planted in soil with compost and small gravel on the rim to prevent soil/compost from surfacing. Will this hostas perform well in the water and what are the benefits it can give to the pond like the irises which balance nitrates. Thanks for any answer.

    Maintenance & Repairs - 13 hours ago

    Additional Details

I just walked into my kitchen and my foot sank into the floor. It feels weak enough for a heavy person to fall through. Up until a few minutes(walking on the same spot) it was stable. Not sure what to do! I live in a trailer and I can't afford for someone to give an estimate. Any home remedy things I can do myself?
