Me and my bf have been going out for about 2 and a half months. I think that's pretty good. I want to kiss him and im pretty sure that he wants to kiss me because I heard him say to my friend that the reason he came over by us on the playground is because his friend dared him to kiss me. my friend just gave the oh look to him. Please help! Some tips please and I don't want to have sex with him so please don't leave those comments. I just want a cheek kiss. I'm in 6th grade. :) He really lives me. Like what times would be good to cheek kiss at school?

am 14 and i have this friend that is about 13 i knew her since like 4 years now and shes always been a nice helpfull person when we got to our secondary school at the end of year seven she started having fights at school and at the start of year 9 she told me she had sex with this random person and now she does it all the time. Yesterday i spoke to her and she was like ohh you know that guy from our year i had it with him. So all im wondering about is why does she do it and does she think it makes her seem cooler ?? Its maybe because she lives in a bad area or that she has 16 brothers and sisters and she is trying to have her own life without them i dont know what to think ???

  • My girlfriend broke up with me... I dont know how to take it in... Plus I have other things making me worry?

My girlfriend broke up with me and this relationship was so much to me. She gave me my first kiss, she was always so nice, we were perfect in my eyes. We lived far apart, but I litterally walked 5 miles to see her at least 3 times a week. We lasted for 4 months, when she broke up with me... the hard part is that a couple days later she started dating a chick. It makes me feel like shit to think that I did something wrong, in fact, so wrong to turn her all the way to lesbian, and even harder to take in, is that she looks happier! I know I should move on, and I am... but She ment everything to me, and I feel like I was just being used. Other than this, my mother took custody of me, so I see my dad only on the weekends, and I really hate it over here. She yells at me, loses it all the time and I hate it. I've considered running away over night back to my dads, or my papa's. My friend recently died over here, my gf broke up with me over here, and I feel like this town is not where I belong. The school is so violent and ghetto, I am angry with my self and feel like an idiot for having so many problems. So far yahoo answers is the best thing because I can talk to people and they can help me.... Maybe it's just a stage, but I truly feel like I'm alone. I dont get along with the people here, and I'm just really depressed. Thanks to anyone who has enough time to read this.... I've helped alot of people on here I believe, and I just want some back. Not in a rude way, people do help, but you know... lol (I'm glad I can even say that...)
  • This is really confusing, can I get some help?

If she has you hold her and link arms and wont let you kiss her but it's obvious there's something there, what the hell's going on lol? She asks me how I am in relationships, she keeps bringing up gf and bf thigns. She put some flowers I gave her in her scrapbook. She told me today that I'm the only guy that's ever made her nervous and that she sees the way I look at her. She looks in my eyes and says she feels theres something I want to tell her, and there is that I like her, should I turn this into a relationship? Next time I speak to her I'm going to ask her on a date.

Okay, so over the years my best friend has had a really great boyfriend - or so we thought. I'm regretting it a little since I got myself involved, but what he did to her was really horrible and the way it ended wasn't good at all. I'm not going to dive too deep into the details of what happened, but since I'm trying to help my friend cope I came up with a silly and stupid ploy to do for revenge. Apparently he cheated on her with this asian girl, and I feel cruel for doing this but I photoshopped his head onto a body of a Geisha... LOL!!!!! Stupid and immature, but my best friend Jenna needed a good laugh. We're debating whether or not we should send him and that girl the photo on Myspace or Facebook, but I'm kinda scared to, haha. What do you say? I think he deserves some embarrassment... Original picture - http://i45.tinypic.com/2d9bfo0.jpg Geisha makeover - http://i45.tinypic.com/142ubn8.jpg Hahaha, it's official. I am awesome. <3
  • Am i wasting my time with him?

I've been dating this guy for 4 months. I like him alot and we have alot of fun together. But i can't help but think he's holding back and i think it has to do with his ex. It was his first love, the only reason they broke up is because she moved away, and they still talk. I once mentioned a rumor i heard about her and he got overly defensive. Even though they broke up a couple of years ago, i am the first girl he has gotten serious with since her. He rarely tells me how much he likes me or compliments me, and he has even denied sex. I am not usually a needy or jealous girl, i've just never been in a situation like this before. People say i am out of his league, but i really believe that this could be a good thing if things would just change a little. I know that no relationship is perfect, but am i wasting my time with this one? wow people you dont give this guy too much hope. alright.. looks like we'll be having a talk tomorrow!

So you think you can't garden

I was watching 'So you think you Can Dance' (www.ctv.ca) the other night and I thought to myself, 'There is no way in the world that I could do any of that stuff on the dance floor.' To which my wife responds: No kidding!

Garden(Mark Cullen)When you are all feet and no rhythm, you know what I mean, middle aged white guy that I am.

The thought occurred to me that there are some people out there who think the same thing about gardening: why give it a shot when you know that you are going to kill it anyway.

I have heard it all: 'I have black thumbs.' 'I kill everything.' 'My Mom was the gardener.' and my favourite, 'My wife is the gardener.' As much as to say: why start, I am only going to fail anyway.

To which I respond: there are no failures in the garden, only composting opportunities. (Sorry if you have heard this one from me before.)

So, off to the golf course they go to churn up someone else's lawn with their divots and donuts (circles in the turf made by turning the hard on the wheel of the power cart while tromping on the gas pedal).

For readers of this blog who are inclined to think that gardening is for everyone else, a message.

If you breathe, you will get a kick out of gardening.
If you can hear, you will get a lift from the songs of birds in your garden.
If you can feel, you will sleep better having nurtured and grown the clean air machines that we call plants in your own yard.
If you can see you will pause during your 'work' in the garden and become temporarily breathless as you observe a hummingbird sucking nectar from a flower.
If you still don't get it, go back to the top and re read.

My friend Sarah Rurka at the Home Hardware location in Lloydminster, Alberta sent me this wonderful quote from the book 'Second Nature'. I think that you will like it:

Sarah says that 'This book of narratives is a book of tales of failure, overcome.'

And from the book, 'All of the accomplished gardeners I know are comfortable with failure... and understand that, in the garden at least, failure speaks louder than success... his failures have more to say to him. The gardener learns nothing when his carrots thrive, unless that success is won against a background of prior disappointment. Outright success is dumb, disaster frequently eloquent, at least to the gardener that knows how to listen.'Garden(Mark Cullen)

The idea that a person cannot or will not pick up a spade or a trowel and plant something in the soil out of fear of failure is a foreign concept to the successful gardener. Failure, as Sarah and the author of Second Nature reminds us, is what we do.

Imagine if you met someone at your next cocktail party who introduced themselves as a failure. You might look for a quick exit from that conversation.

And yet I know the feeling of failure and the exhilaration of learning from it. Oh, the high of getting it right after learning from a good failure!

While in business it has occurred to me that we waste a lot of time talking about our successes. Look at the financial pages these days and you will read lots of stuff about people who have profited from the down turn in the economy or the more recent upturn in the stock market. I would ask, 'Who has a failure that they wish to talk about - and what did you learn from it?'

A 'failure' forum might just draw a big crowd and who knows, maybe we would learn more from a few of these shared experiences than all of the successes put together.

Gardeners who have been at it for a few years get it: we work to fail so that we can succeed the next time. It is a cycle that keeps us going.

Maybe that is why gardeners live longer.
Our bodies are more flexible and our minds more open than non-gardeners because we exercise muscles that seldom get a work out otherwise. Under normal circumstances we go out of our way to get things right (think child-rearing and careers).

As Sarah rightly points out, 'Weathering the recession in this market will be an interesting experience for our family. The fear/intimation that we feel in business is no different than that of new gardeners just setting out to plant their first garden.'

It is early summer everywhere in Canada and a great time to sink a spade into the soil and plant. Anything. Prepare the soil with some compost. Water the new plant. Nurture it. And if you fail, give it another shot (most retailers now guarantee plants against death anyway, regardless of the reason why).

I am on my way to the U.K. this week and will report back from the 2nd greatest garden show of all time - the Hampton Court Flower Show, which is capably run by the Royal Horticultural Society. My daughter Heather is over there volunteering with them now and I am looking forward to seeing her, seeing some great British gardens and learning a thing or two from the pros.

Keep your knees dirty!

I'm still enjoying most of my gardening failures, but now there are more successes than failures. It's truly thrilling to see plants thrive on their own ,and starting my day with a look and talk with my plants is the best way to start any day!

Taking a wack at a few rows of potatoes which are doing ok btw. A big trouble people seem to have is with the concept of actually working/tilling the earth. Quackgrass roots seem to travel deep and a heavy till seems to be the only way to rid them. I

Is the author of this implying that in part his lack of dancing skills comes from the colour of his skin?...wow...
