  • Were not dating and he sent me a text that said I miss you?

    Singles & Dating - 4 hours ago

    Additional Details

He asked did I miss him too.. I told him the truth, which was no I did not. So why is he so mad? I mean I like talking to him and everything, and it's not that I meant it too be rude but I talk to him everyday so what's there to miss? I know this sounds really harsh, but I can't help the fact that I'm really blunt. My honesty is often misconstrued as being mean. Similar incidents have often happened with this person before so how am I supposed to talk to him? It's like he wants me to tell him what he wants to here (lies). If that's the case sorry. Not having it.
  • Why won't my bf ask me to marry him??? Part 2.?

    Singles & Dating - 5 hours ago

    Additional Details

We have been together for 4 yrs. In the 1st 6mth's he wanted too(didn't actually have a ring just talked about it a lot) and I didn't cause it was to fast. We have a wonderful relationship. He has taken my son in as his own. We have lived together for 3.5 years. We do almost everything together. When he goes away on trips, like hunting/camping and I ask him questions about it, he automatically resorts to "I don't trust him" and says that is why we are at a stand still. The thing is that I do trust him, I am slightly insecure and a little nosy so I ask questions about their plans, etc. isn't that normal of someone who cares? I think it's an excuse, I don't believe he thinks that. I don't know what to do...I feel used and I am starting to think that he is waiting for someone better. He's really good to me and my son, I hope that's not the case. I am tired of the embarrassment when asked "why hasn't he married you yet?"...now I am asking myself that question. The whole "why buy the cow when the milk is free" is haunting me. I am to afraid to change anything because he is stubborn (so am I) and I am afraid he will just let me go because he will think that I don't want him, it seems too risky. I love the idea of getting away for the weekend, but I already did that, he always misses me alot (calls, texts, etc) right now he is away hunting and he calls and texts me. I usually text him but I really haven't this time cause I don't want to be viewed as none trusting. I'm hurt and I don't know how to get what I want...and if I don't get that I don't think my relationship will stay together since the feeling of insecurity grows inside of me with time :( I don't want to mess this up but I don't want to be just a gf either.
  • Guys... should I tell him or not?

    Singles & Dating - 5 hours ago

    Additional Details

So... my wonderful boyfriend proposed to me - and I most definitely said yes! The thing is - I don't really like my engagement ring. I didn't tell him - I was just glad to be engaged and figured I would just grow to love the ring - but it's 2 months later and I still don't! Guys I want your perspective cause I really don't want him to be hurt or to think I don't appreciate all the effort he went to in picking it - should I tell him I don't like it or not?!? Should prob mention - We'd both always wanted him to pick the ring for me - so I just asked him to follow 1 rule - "no white gold please"... it's white gold! (he said he forgot! hehe) Plus he gave it to me after the warranty ran out! Oh dear - what to do!?!? Oh - and I do love him and am greatful to be marrying him - that's why I don't want to hurt him! How much I like my engagement ring has nothing to do with how much I love my fiance. I just don't know if I should pretend to like this forever when I really don't!

Big impact with window fashions

Windows (Dvira Ovidia)Window covering are a sure way to create a big impact in any room.

I often find that people tend to work on designing and dressing their entire room and leave little or no budget for their window coverings! Think of window covering as 'vertical dressing', it not only functions to provide privacy and frame your windows but it also adds decor to your walls.

Today's windows are dressed in minimal, clean lined looks and straight panels. From pinch pleats, box pleats, grommets or hidden pocket, all of these drapery designs lend themselves to modern, traditional and contemporary looks for drapery panels. Swag draperies, fringes and heavy puddling is no longer the chic looks of today's home dressing.

When it comes to valences, box pleats or banner valences are still cleaned lined and contemporary, although if using a valence is a must, my personal favourite is a clean and straight box valence, either on it's own in a basement window or in combination with drapes or roman shades.

Speaking of roman shades, this sewing technique is a highly popular window covering design that works with just about any decor, it is clean-lined and simple. It is certainly an inexpensive solution for guest rooms, kids rooms and bathrooms!

Drapery doesn't have to cost you a fortune, if you have standard ceiling heights (8' or 9' ceilings) look around for sales on drapery hardware and ready-made drapes at your local home stores, like Bouclair, Home Outfitters, Ikea and even fabric stores. Some big box stores like Wallmart and Zellers will also carry great buys! If your ceiling are very tall, you might have to resort to custom sewing, however, if you source your own inexpensive fabrics you can certainly save a big chunk of the cost! Windows (Dvira Ovidia)

A good TIP to remember is that placing drapery panels as high as possible will make your ceilings and windows feel taller. Most ready-made drapes come in 84' and 96' standard lengths. When installing your drapes, be sure to measure carefully, you want your drapes to lightly touch the floor or be less than 1/2 an inch off the floor. Hanging drapes too high will look like you are wearing trousers with shrunken pant legs!

When it comes to color selection, if your room is still a work in progress, choose neutrals such as creams and beiges, you can even go for sheer curtains that are versatile for any color scheme. However, if your room just needs a little pick-me-up then go for a dramatic tone, choose a chocolate brown colour, and accessorise with chocolate coloured pillow and accents to tie your shades into the room. For a softer look go for a light gray, silver, or powder blue. For a whimsical look go for interesting patterns that add character to any room. Remember to utilize the same trick when accessorizing by tying in matching colors into your space!

Barcella may have made his debut against Six Nations minnows Italy last year but since then he has shown he can mix it with the very best in victories over the All Blacks and world champions South Africa and in Marseille on Saturday he will try to do it again to the Kiwis.
