The photography bug has found a home as framed photographs are hotter than ever in home décor and today there are so many great frames to choose from.
Filling horizontal surfaces with framed photos of people, pets, places and things we adore is totally in vogue. Frames should showcase our sense of style, the people that mean the most to us and our favorite memories.
Don?t forget that the frames themselves can be just as sexy and enticing as the photographs they are designed to hold. There are no limits when it comes to intriguing and eye catching picture frames.
Here are some you should check out:
I prefer to vary the heights of my photo frames on any one surface, this creates visual interest and keeps the eye moving from frame to frame. Change or rotate your photos often - your friends will enjoy the new pics each and every time they come to visit. Frame yourself and see your rooms come to life with memories and style!
Designer Notes: When it comes to displaying frames on a horizontal surface it is impetrative that we understand that our frames and photographs do not have to match. However, there does need to be a sense of continuity - you can achieve flow by using photographs that have a similar theme (perhaps all architectural or a collection of photos from one location i.e. Paris). You can also achieve continuity by using either all colour or all black and white photos (black and white photos are timeless - they will never appear outdated). The same guidelines should be followed if you are hanging a group of framed photograph on a wall - aim for continuity and make sure at least one element remains consistent throughout the collection: matting, frames, themes, colour, etc.
