House of the Week: Dormers trick eye into thinking house is two-storey

Twin dormers give this raised one-storey design, Plan E-1826, by Home Plans LLC, the appearance of a two-storey.

Two covered porches and a deck supplement the main living areas with plenty of outdoor entertaining space. The large central living room features a dramatic fireplace, a high ceiling with a skylight and access to both porch areas.

Double doors open to a bayed eating area, which overlooks the adjoining deck. An angled snack bar and a pantry are also featured in the kitchen.

The elegant master suite is tucked to one side of the home and also overlooks the backyard and deck. Across the home, two additional bedrooms share another full bath.
