Celebratory Set

Everyday napkins make festive place mats when they're chosen in patriotic hues and layered to evoke star shapes. This setting combines blue linen and red-and-white ticking napkins (if you can't find ones you like, it's easy to cut and hem fabric into approximately 14-inch squares). Plain ceramic dishes and blue and white blooms in vases carry the theme.
