Hi Mark I am looking for info on castor beans.How to grow them is a mystery to me. i have soaked them ,taken off the outer husk and started then in pots. They turn to mush.

Don't remove the outer skin. Scarify the seed case (nick with a knife or nail file) to encourage germination and soak overnight in water. Plant it on its narrow edge, not flat, to discourage rotting.
