Roses - Leaf Problems

Rose Health

By Groundskeeper

Question: Tuesday, June 05, 2001

Mark, I have lots of roses and the top portion of most of the plants the leaves have gone yellow and some are turning a pale red. The rest of the plant looks very healthy, could you advise what I can Do.

Answer:

This sounds like a fungus and often appears when weather conditions are wetter than normal. Remove the yellowing leaves and spray the plant with Safer's Defender. A shot of rose fertilizer would also be beneficial.
