Surely everyone knows by now that in order to attract buyers there must be something attractive about the home/property they are purchasing. Sprucing up the exterior of your home makes buyers anxious to see what is inside.

Fall is a beautiful time of year. All the charm of leaves turning colour helps give a cozy feeling to most exteriors.

Front Entrance: Better known as “first impression zone” must be clean, freshly painted and inviting.

Make sure the lighting is ample: all fixtures i.e. switches and door bell are in working order.
Add charm by placing a "Welcome" mat and/or potted plants and/or floral urns near entrance ways or stairs
Nice decorative wreath on the door

Lawn/Property:

Mailbox – is it fresh? if not, repaint
Repair fences, touch up (paint or stain)
A well kept lawn means a well kept home. No one wants to buy someone else’s problems. After all, you would not sell your car without detailing it first.
Rake leaves, brush walkways
Plant flowers, spruce up landscaping

Home Exterior:

Paint trim and/or shutters/garage door in a shade which is complimentary to the original siding and or brick
Repair gutters
Repair loose shingles, broken glass in windows

Hopefully the above will help you to gain an objective look at the status of your property. If one or more of these items needs to be addressed, do it promptly. They are crucial in getting top dollar for your home.
