We pat ourselves on the back for having the foresight not to paint a mural when we first decorated the nursery. (Way too permanent. The same reason we never got a tattoo.)
But how do you introduce stimulating art and imagery on your kids' walls, while addressing their ever-growing, ever-changing tastes? You ask the fine team at Surface Collective, that's how. This Vancouver-based team of graphic artists make an incredibly hip line of wall tattoos for kids ($55-90). This removable wall art makes a bold statement without infringing on our preschooler's (and, admittedly, our own) commitment issues.
The extremely thorough directions on the box made it a breeze for us to install (even with severe sleep deprivation). The Beat Bots ($65) had our wannabe sk8r boi shrieking with delight, while the Pocket Full of Posies ($55) added some whimsy to Baby Girl's room without having age limitations. Now that's forward thinking.
If only we'd had the same prudence during our purple hair phase.
