Having the right brushes to apply your make-up is half the battle. Take the plunge and invest in high quality brushes that won't leave black "brush hair" on your face, or snap on you when you least expect it.

When it comes to blush, you want it to be subtle. Don't choose loud pink or red. A nice muted tone is the best option.
Depending on your skin tone a shade of brown usually does the trick, and adds that perfect sun-kissed glow!

This is by far the best part of make-up! There are so many shades that it's easy to find a shade to complement your outfit.
Always start off with a very pale-white shade on your lid, then use the middle shade on the bottom portion of your lid, and finish off by applying a dark shade in your crease. A nice touch is to blend the dark upwards toward your brow. Giving you that sexy look!

For a night on the town, liquid eyeliner is the way to go. It will last all night and won't smudge.
If you've never applied it before you'll want to practice a bit first. It's best for the line to be thin and it should follow your eyelashes.

A good lipstick is all it takes to complete an outfit. Take a walk through the make-up aisle at your local pharmacy to see what shades go with your skin tone.
Usually if you have pale skin and light eyes, a light coloured lipstick is perfect. However if the outfit calls for it, a deep red will look smashing! If you have darker toned skin, browns and cranberry colours work best.

Choosing the right foundation for your skin is very important. It's always worth investing a few extra dollars for the better brand. Talk to a beauty consultant about what shades best match your skin - you don't want to look orange!
Once you know your shade, choose either powder, liquid or cream (or a combination). If you have dry skin, stay away from the powder, and if you have oily skin, stay away from the liquid.

This is always a great way to spice up an outfit. Just make sure the lashes aren't too long - they come in a standard size, but you can trim them to your desired length.
Always be sure to apply the lashes (and allow them to dry) before putting your liquid liner on. This way the liner will cover the line the lashes create. And though we know the glue smells bad, the look is worth it!
