Hot Eggnog

HOT EGGNOG   

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz.  brandy 
1  egg 
1 cup hot milk 
1 tbsp. superfine sugar 
Pinch nutmeg 
Pinch salt 

Mixing instructions:
Place egg and salt in a mixing bowl and beat until egg is thick. Add sugar and beat until blended. Add hot milk and brandy, mix well by hand or in a blender, and pour into a warmed mug that has been rinsed in hot water. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg.

Christmas Champagne Cocktail

CHRISTMAS CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

3/5 of a glass champagne (or sparkling wine)
1/5 of a glass Cointreau 
1/5 glass orange flavored vodka 
1  sugar cube 

Mixing instructions:
Mix all the ingredients together (in the glass if you wish). Serve in a champagne flute and decorate with a slice of orange, tangerine or cranberries.

Crantini

Ingredients:
2 oz. cranberry juice 
1 1/2 oz. vodka or gin
Rose's lime juice 

Mixing instructions:
Mix vodka, cranberry juice and a splash of Rose's lime juice cordial over ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Irish Coffee

IRISH COFFEE
 
2 tbsp. heavy cream 
1 1/2 oz. Irish whiskey 
1 tsp. sugar syrup or superfine sugar
Coffee 

Mixing instructions:
Add sugar (preferably brown) to strong hot black coffee and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Add Irish whiskey. Carefully "float" the cream on to the coffee by using the back of a spoon. Do not stir.

1/2 oz. lime juice 
1 1/2 oz. vodka 
1 oz. Cointreau 
1 oz. cranberry juice 
Orange peel 

Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients (except orange peel) with ice in shaker or blender. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange peel

Mojito

Several  mint sprigs 
1/2  lime 
1 1/2 oz. light rum 
1 tsp. sugar 
Club soda  [optional]

Mixing instructions:
Squeeze lime juice into a chilled double Old Fashioned glass, add sugar and mint, and muddle until sugar is dissolved. Fill glass with crushed ice and pour in rum. Swizzle until glass frosts, adding additional crushed ice and rum as needed. Garnish with mint sprig and serve with straws. You may top off drink with cold club soda if you wish, or some prefer a dash of dark Jamaica rum.

Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients, except grenadine and lime slice, in a shaker or blender with cracked ice and pour into a tall Collins glass with additional ice if needed. Slowly pour in grenadine. Do not stir. Garnish with lime slice.
