Your body sends out the biological equivalent of error messages—important clues that something isn't functioning quite the way it should be on the gynecological health front.
Discharge A milky, cloudy white, or clear discharge is normal. Anything that’s grayish-white or yellow-green in colour, frothy or foamy, or clumpy or “cheesy” looking is not.
Vaginal odour A pleasant but slightly musty smell is normal. A fishy or foul odor or yeasty smell is not.
Menstrual bleeding problems Bleeding that lasts from four to six days at the start of your cycle is normal. Spotting in between periods, bleeding after intercourse, or vaginal bleeding that goes on for weeks at a time is not.
An overly long or overly short cycle A menstrual cycle of 20 to 40 days—some say 21 to 35 days—is considered normal. Anything longer or shorter is not.
