• EPA and DHA are not essential fatty acids

This article is extremely incorrect. The only 2 essential fatty acids are namely cis-linoleic acid (parent Omega 6 ) and alpha linolenic acid (parent Omega 3 ). EPA and DHA are Omega 3 derivatives and not EFA's. Trans fats and processed unsaturates are the enemy---- not saturated animal fats.Moderation and balance of Omega 6 and Omega 3is the key to good health. The ratio of "live fats" should be 2 or3:1 ,omega6:omega3. To max. PGE1 you need 2:1 (GLA to EPA) Suggest the author of this article read www.westonaprice.org and www.lifesavingfats.com
