After having freedom all summer, it can be difficult to get kids back into a daily routine. But a consistent schedule can help kids turn healthy practices into lifelong habits. Learn 5 ways to encourage your kids to have a healthy school year.

When creating your new daily schedule for your family, try to plan activities that your child enjoys or that you can share together. "Include all the family in the plans," Dr. McCrindle says. "You have to use a win-win process where everybody gets what they want and there are no losers."
