It's a pathetic question, I know. But, seriously. I have two younger brothers who are horrible to me. They will call me fat, talk about tampons, call me ugly, and stupid to my face. It's terrible, and it's really hurting me. Honestly, it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't do it where they do it. I'll be walking to the bus, and they will put down the window and yell in front of EVERYONE, "Hurry up fatty!" Or, "Run, bitch, run!" It's embarrising. How can I stop it form hurting me so much? I have come home crying the past two days, and I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. Please help me :(

  • Do I have the right to insist on starting treatment regardless of what the doctor wants?

    STDs - 17 hours ago

    Additional Details

I've got HIV and Hep C from idu, infected in 2006 diagnosed 2009. My CD4 count is 450 and T8 ratio is .33 unknown VL (they've continually screwed up the tests as results are time-limited and the nearest lab that can handle it is over an hour away) I want to start treatment on HAART immediately as from every study I've read & from talking to people I know who are similarly afflicted that guidelines are about to change at a CD4 count of 500 soon. I live in a rural, conservative area, and the specialist is no different, to her if the book says 350 then treatment should be withheld until it reaches that point,. Knowing how I feel physically and from symptoms that have begun to appear I think it's best to begin right away. Do I have the right to insist on treatment regardless of what she thinks?

The problem is not just the symptoms, but being examined by specialist to determine what is wrong, I have been waiting for a year to see one, pain started in my knees due to injury, now all my muscels are in sever pain from my toes to my neck. I have sold my house because I can't handle the stairs, going to France where I can get an appointment with specialist in a month, I will pay for that..but we pay tons of taxes here, at least I wil know what is the problem.

as a canadian.... we may not have to be concerned about the cost (in dollars and cents) however, because our government in their infinate wisdom have decided not to allow any private practice to exsiste and thus clog the up the health care system... I cannot "afford" to get sick... also.... sooooo many people go into the hospital to get better only to end up with a deadlly case of pnenomia.... great fkn system....

I've said it before and I'll repeat it now. Us Canadians have it pretty darned good to not have to worry about not having the money or proper insurance to go see a doctor when we are sick. The stress of the worry alone can do tons of harm. Sure there is some work needed to improve our system. France's is stellar compared to ours. However, in the meantime, I will continue to bring a book and hunker down for a long wait. I will continue to seek another opinon if I want it without getting permission from my insurance company. I will be content just knowing that paying out of pocket for faster care is optional though not necessary. I will also continue to hope that the general American population will see past the anti-Universal Care fear mongering and support Mr. Obama in creating a system where all you really can worry about is whether or not you can finish that book!

I'd rather die younger than be a burden on my family. The way the world is going now, I think I would rather not be here any longer than I have to. I dispair for the younger ones coming up behind me. Hopefully they can make it a better place. God only knows we sure screwed it up.

Hi Student H, I happen to live in a beautiful country, The name is Canada! I am so sorry that you do not have the same health care system in the USA. But yes we have it here and soon I hope that you get it also in your country. The reason is each paycheck that we receive, Our government just takes a little off of everyone extra for taxes, we all pool together thick and thin to help each other. One may need the hospital one day, Another an operation the next. No one knows. But, there is no charge. Our medications are covered for $2.00 per persciption or less. We all work as a team to help one another. But in Canada no one seems to mind. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I believe our Prime Minister of Canada, is speaking to President Obama as in how to help the US, in this condition. I have worked in the US many moons ago. I certainly woudn't want to have to go to the hosptail there. Too much money! But in all do reguards, we do have a Great Country! CANADA!,, we are also paying higher taxes than you are, so take your pick, pay a little more now, or pay the big price later. But at least everyone gets the benefits when needed. Some may never need it in a life time, which is great but some may need it everyday!. It is all taken care of. There is no money needed, it is all taken care of. All you need is your Health Card. Which you get by our Government at no cost. I pray that this finds you well and that I have answered your question. Please get well soon! Soon your Administration will be following Canada I hope so that we all can get well with better health care. and we all can be well. In the mean time, please take care and I will pray for you! blinker-switch xoxoxo

Free heath care system! Could just be a laugh able topic, fake figure for Canadian government! What health care!? There is no health care system! Our health care is like a slot machine that just sucks tax payer money with not giving anything back. My few trips to emergency in last year was just a complete nightmare, and I just decided to stay in my bed, no matter what is going to happened . Seems it is cheaper to put security guard in emergency to beat or scared sick people then pay professionals to do a better job? Can someone give a definition of "EMERGENCY" since in our “Canadian’s Dictionary “ definition doesn't match with what we see in our hospital. What is precise definition of family physician!/ how many years we have to go and visit F/PH until he/she decides it is time for doing something other then than looking in my month and taking my blood presser!? Is there someone out there can take better look in our broken health system and make it to work better and be more reliable? My pain is more than this, that could be explained in a few line."Can somebody do something" ?
