Two Hearts Pita Pizza with Ham

1. Ingredients

  1. 4 pita breads
  2. Dijon mustard
  3. Olive oil
  4. 1 cup (250 ml) coarsely chopped marinated artichoke hearts
  5. 1 cup (250 ml) sliced canned palm hearts
  6. 1/2 lb (250 g)  thinly sliced black forest ham, chopped
  7. 1/3 cup (75 ml) sliced pitted black olives
  8. 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups (375 ml to 500 ml) grated Canadian Gruyère cheese

2. Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brush pita breads with Dijon mustard and olive oil.  Cover with artichoke and palm hearts.  Arrange half the ham and half the olives evenly over hearts.  Top with Canadian Gruyère cheese and with remaining ham and olives.
  3. Place pizzas on baking sheet or directly on oven top grill.  Bake for 12 minutes or until golden.  Remove from oven and serve with pesto pasta salad.

Yield: 4 servings
