1. Ingredients

  1. 1 lb (500 g) lean ground pork
  2. 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  3. 1/2 tsp (2 ml) steak spice
  4. 2/3 cup (150 ml) drained canned peach chunks
  5. 2 eggs, beaten
  6. 2/3 cup (150 ml) diced Canadian Cheddar cheese
  7. Freshly ground pepper
  8. 4 large hamburger buns
  9. Canadian Cottage cheese
  10. Tomato slices
  11. Lettuce leaves

2. Cooking Directions

  1. In large bowl, combine pork, garlic, steak spice, peaches, eggs and Canadian Cheddar cheese. Season to taste with pepper. Mix well. Shape pork mixture into 4 large patties. Soak hands in water to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook on oiled barbecue grill over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, with the lid closed. Lightly toast buns on barbecue top shelf. Serve giant burgers topped with Canadian Cottage cheese, tomato slices and lettuce leaves. Garnish with fresh peach segments. Serve with chips and creamy cucumber salad.
