Burgers with Brie and Mushrooms

1. Ingredients

  1. 1 cup (250 mL) sliced cleaned mushrooms
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 1 tbsp (30 mL) melted butter
  4. 1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef
  5. Pepper
  6. Steak spice
  7. 1/3 lb (150 g) Canadian Brie cheese, sliced
  8. 4 hamburger buns or Kaiser

2. Cooking Directions

  1. In skillet, sauté mushrooms and onion in butter for 4 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Form ground beef into 4 even patties and season to taste with pepper and steak spice. Grill over medium-high heat for 4 minutes on each side. Just 3 minutes before burgers are done, top each one with 2 slices of Canadian Brie cheese. Heat buns on top shelf. Close lid and continue cooking.
  3. Place burgers in warm buns and garnish with sautéed mushrooms and onion. Serve with chips.
