A few of the products made from fresh almonds:
Almond butter: A nutritious spread that can make a great sandwich filling; add it to baked goods and cookie dough or whisk it into sauces and vinaigrettes to give them a toasty flavour.
Almond milk: Comes in a shelf-stable box, similar to soy milk. Use sweet pure nutty almond milk in smoothies, hot chocolate or warm cocktails.
Almond flour: Is 100 per cent ground almonds, usually blanched. Good for coatings for meat or fish. In baking, the general rule is to substitute it for up to half of wheat flour in a cake or crust.
