Let's face it - as simple as the boys in our life often are, they sometimes turn out to be the hardest to shop for. Trying to get them out to the mall to buy a pair of much needed pants is hard enough, but buying for them when they have no input is even tougher. Ties, dress shirts, sweaters, random books they might like; they are all quite capable of purchasing these items for themselves. They just need a persuasive poke to do so every now and again.
So, this year I'm opting for a gifts for my guys that are kind to my wallet and in turn, are more useful and thoughtful than a 12 pack of tube socks.
And seeing as guys are taking little bit more care of themselves, I've opted for three "easys" for all the various types of men in your life, all geared around skin care, shaving, and all around well being.
For the brother/father/other male relative:
This year's pick is an awesome combo of nifty little gadget (which all boys love) and a practical grooming product that almost all men would find useful.
The size of a credit card, the MicroForce claims to give a shave as close as a razor would with the convenience of an electric shaver and it can be used in the shower.
Handy gadget with a practical use - sounds like a boy's toy to me!
For the boyfriend/fiancé/husband:
This is always a toughy for many reasons. Buying grooming tools could send off signals that you are criticising their current routine. Cologne is nice, but it is a rather personal choice. You want to get something that shows you care about how he looks but that you aren't trying to change him. Something intimate, but not necessarily lingerie (Valentine's day is coming up soon any way). Something he'd actually enjoy but probably would never get for himself. That is one tall order for a single gift.
My suggestion: a couples massage. What guy wouldn't love a massage and some relaxation time with his sweetheart. And the many health benefits associated with massage range from stress relief to improvement of circulation to detoxifying the body through the lymphatic system.
For the male besty/uber buddy of the other sex:
Scarf? Yawn. Toque? Meh. If you are going to go the route of a thoughtful yet usable gift for your male friend, one of the best skincare for men collections on the market right now is the Clinique skin supplies for men line. Known for a cleaner, fresh scent offering, their Face Soap, Post-Shave Healer and Stick Form Antiperspirant-Deodorant are just a few options from the line. Better yet, grab one of the shave kit sets that come with full and travel size versions of some pre and post shave products. Tied together in their durable black toiletry bag, it's all wrapped up and will be more than
appreciated by this close companion.}
Now, these are only suggestions for each type of guy in your life and depending on where you stand with any of them, I am sure you might want to swap some of the gifts to different categories and you should feel free to. After all, the time you took out to purchase something for their well being, regardless of what it is, will be well received from any guy.
