Get the winning look for evenings
When spring trends flatter our figures, what more could we ask for? This season, loose, flowy, drapey and comfy styles ruled the runways. So it's easy for any fashionista to stay on trend while flattering her silhouette at the same time. Marion Treger, Product Development Manager for Addition Elle, gave us the scoop on which spring trends will work best for plus-size women and there are definitely tons to choose from. "You have bubble dresses, you have lace dresses that are coming back very strongly and ruffles and layers that are Charleston-like." For an evening out, Marion suggests one of this season's popular flowy dresses. "Jersey fabrics fit the body easily and have a nice drapey look to it." When the fabric doesn't stick to your body, it's easy to conceal areas like the hips, stomach or upper thighs, where some women may carry more weight. A loose-fitting dress can add balance and flow and make the body appear more proportional. Marion suggests accessorizing this hot look with long silver earrings to give the illusion of length or a tiny bit of beaded accessories. This will add colour, depth and style to your evening look.

Spring trends that fit the weekend
Capris and fooler tops are a big deal this season. They are on trend and, thankfully, they're flattering to many different shapes as well, including women who are pear- or apple-shaped. Try a longer sport jacket with capris for a casual weekend look. The longer jacket is flattering because it hides the hips and is also very comfortable. Marion also suggests skorts, a popular trend this summer. At about an 18-inch length, she says they are not too short but definitely still sexy. Try opting for plaid prints, as well, which are both flattering and hyper-trendy this year. Get the perfect look for the weekend with any of these hot items and don't even worry about accessorizing. Weekend casual calls for very little of it, anyway.
