Quirky over-the-top accessories ruled the runways this fall. Our must-haves? Extreme thigh-high boots, an aggressively chic handbag and a weighty hardware necklace. Here, the new season’s most inspiring extras.

Animal Kingdom

The wild gets a lesson in urban sophistication as marabou, shaggy fur and animal prints turn shades of smoky grey, indigo and jet black. Metallic hardware growls alongside zebra, leopard and python as the downtown girl flaunts her natural instincts.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Think beyond classic. Instead of leopard print flats, why not try a fuzzy hairband or a metallic fold-over boot?

Bright Now

Mouthwatering hues and candy-cane patterns make eye-popping colour fresh for fall. Aqua, neon, coral and lemon are bursting with flavour on oversized extras and fun shapes.
HOW TO WEAR IT: With vibrant colour climbing up leggings and boots, keep your outfit neutral to maintain focus.

Northern Adventurer

Take the path less traveled and traverse rugged mountaintops and barren terrain in knits, tassels and leather. Mine natural stones such as amethyst along the way and explore new heights tethered by sturdy boots and leather caps.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Mix and match textures, such as worn-in wool, brushed metal and nature-inspired patterns, to show the fruits of your travels.

Space Cadet

Strange encounters take place this fall with galactic shapes and cosmic metallics. Defy gravity in out-of-this world platforms, geometric bijoux and stainless steel and Lucite.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Keep to a palette of black and grey and show off one standout piece; any more will look alien.

Parisian Chic

Fall in love at Moulin Rouge in ornate embellishment and theatrical shapes. Channel your inner coquette to find whimsy in sweet bows, jacquard, ruffles and substantial accoutrements that take centre stage.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Get girlie from head to toe. Team feminine ornamentation, such as baroque-pin heels and polka-dot stockings, with a sultry frock.
