  • Makeup for Grad Photos?

    Makeup - 10 hours ago

    Additional Details

This Wednesday I'm having my grad photo's taken, but I can't decide how to do my make up. Everyone I know is going to do A LOT of make up, but I'm more used to natural makeup so I don't really know what to do. Also, I wanted to wear a nude coloured lipstick but my mom and sister want me to wear a pink lipstick because they think I should do more makeup that stands out a little more. Anyways, here's a picture of me: http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj58/eenasharma/100_1163-1-1.jpg My hair is a bit different now, it's shorter and I have bangs...if it matters. Thanks in advance! <3

Vintage and modern converge in Reva Mivasagar's colourful creations

Vintage and modern converge in Reva Mivasagar's colourful creations

TORONTO - In the "Urban Nomad" collection, designer Reva Mivasagar sought to capture his visions as a newcomer to Toronto life in fashionable form, reflecting the city's diverse cultures.

The result was a collection of fluid, luxe creations each presented as colourfully individual stories, swathed in a succession of bold hues and brassy prints with rich patterns in the structured, architectural creations.

Silk rippled down the runway evoking glamour and sophistication and in various forms, from chiffon draped dresses to duchess jackets with blousy butterfly sleeves to charmeuse sarongs.

The collection maintained an effective balance between more frothy cocktail confections, like multi-tiered ruffled skirts and dresses, and sleek bias-cut minis and asymmetrical gowns.

Mivasagar didn't shy away from adding oomph with exaggerated detailing from oversized French cuffs to ruffles cascading down the full length of sleeves.

Exquisite beadwork on flapper-style dresses and rippling the length of form-fitting bodices paired with blousy tulle mini-tutus were among the eye-catching creations, as was the lush First Nations artwork in multicoloured print.
