Homegrown Talent

Learn all about three great Canadian interior designers and how you can bring their style home.

Talented homegrown designers Brian Gluckstein, Lynda Reeves and Sarah Richardson are already household names and you’ve no doubt seen them on television, or in the pages of a magazine. But did you know that all three of these design superstars also have affordable home decor lines? If you’ve always admired the aesthetic of Gluckstein, Reeves or Richardson, you can stop by a store in your area and bring a bit of their style home with you.

Brian Gluckstein
In the Beginning: Gluckstein’s family employed an interior designer. This sparked his interest in design at a very early age.
Signature Style: Refined glamour.
On Screen: Regularly appears as a design consultant on CityLine with Marilyn Denis.
En Suite: Responsible for the interior design of several major hotels, including Toronto’s Four Seasons and the Windsor Arms Hotel.
In Store: His line of home furnishings, bedding, tableware and other decor items is available at the Bay.

Lynda Reeves
In the Beginning: Reeves broke into the industry by apprenticing with a design firm.
Signature Style: Modern eclectic.
On Screen: As president of House & Home Media, Reeves hosts House & Home TV.
In Print: Publishes Canadian House & Home magazine.
In Store: Her Style for Living collection (pictured) is available at the Bay, Zellers and Home Outfitters.

Sarah Richardson
In the Beginning: Richardson actually began her career behind the scenes, as a prop stylist for a television show.
Signature Style: Comfortable elegance.
On Screen: Hosts the popular Design Inc. television series.
In Print: Acts as the Contributing Design Editor for Canadian Home & Country magazine.
