Petite Steph wants jeans that give shape to her less-than-bodacious behind. She prefers low-rise pants because they hug her tush, but doesn't like that they gape at the back.
SOLUTION:
We put some flair on Steph's derrière with a dressy trouser-style jean that focused on her booty. "For a smaller backside, it's important to find jeans with the right pockets," says the Levi's merchandise manager Rod Van Straten. "Try eye-catching details like flap pockets, buttons or embellished stitching to give the illusion of a fuller bottom." Stretch-denim fabrics can also help lift your assets.

Andrea is a busy working mother looking for jeans that will suit her long torso. She wants something hip - no dreaded "mom jeans" - but with a mature bod, she has difficulty finding a pair that fit her well at the waist.
SOLUTION:
We put Andrea in a dark wash, not-too-fitted boot-cut jean that draws the eye down the body and shows off her great long legs. Andrea should avoid a rise that's too low or too high. "Many people believe that it's best to cover the entire stomach, but this often adds bulk and volume to the tummy," says Amber Kelly of the Denim Diva store in Newmarket, Ont.

As a publicist for a number of clothing brands, Pat has a passion for fashion and wants to wear trendy slim-legged jeans. Her five-foot-two hourglass figure needs a pair that don't sit too low, aren't overly tapered, and won't gape at her tiny waist.
SOLUTION:
Pat should opt for what Eric Wazana, founder of the denim company Second, calls a "contoured waistband," which sits higher in the back and drops toward the front. "And if you're curvy, go for a straight leg, not skinny," he says. "The straight leg will fit you like a skinny jean without creating a triangular effect."

Full-figured Shakira is looking for jeans that won't create a muffin top. Also on her wish list: a long inseam that will lengthen her body and accommodate heels.
SOLUTION:
To give Shakira a smooth silhouette, we dressed her in dark, boot-cut jeans with a medium-high waistline that sits just under
her belly button, minimizing her tummy and hips. "They're the most universally flattering jeans since the slightly wider pant
leg helps balance out the fuller upper leg," says Van Straten.
