Fall ’09 Fashion Trends
One of our favourite things about fall is the fun of discovering all the new fashion trends and taking them for a spin. We’ve got some of the top styles you’ll want to get your hands on this season. Check them out!

Acid Wash and Coloured Jeans
Got rid of your acid wash jeans sometime in the 90s? This season, acid wash as well as coloured jeans are making a comeback. Very 80s and very en vogue!

1. Acid Wash Skinny Jean, $33.80 at Forever 21
2. Unisex Mineral Wash Stretch Bull Denim Slim Slack, $75 at American Apparel

Boxy Shoulders
Another style reminiscent of the era of teased hair and neon colours is making an appearance this fall: big shoulders. Dresses and blouses that enhance the shoulders are one of the top trends of the season, but are still somewhat more subtle than the shoulder pads that were all the rage 20 years ago.

3. Black Dress, $69.95 at H&M

Lace, Bows and Ruffles
The girlie look is still in this season, with its lace embellishments, bows, flowers and ruffles. Ultra-feminine and über chic!

4. Ribbon and Pearl Necklace with Corsage, $20 at Smart Set
5. Side Bow Satin Smock Waist Top, $22.80 at Urban Behavior

Plaid
Printed pieces can be seen everywhere, but plaid is especially in fashion for fall. Not only in combinations of grey, black, and white, but also in punchier hues like red and blue. You’ll even see pieces that combine the plaid and ruffle trends, like a ruffled checked blouse, for example.

6. Plaid Pencil Skirt, $89.95 at Le Château
7. Buffalo Check Belt, $9.80 at Garage

Shirt Dress
Shirt dresses are also huge this season, in all prints and colours. Wear yours over skinny jeans or with contrasting leggings for a look that is laid-back yet stylish.

8. Dress Ventu, $39.90 at Mango

jsteiner, I also believe that the Bible is the word of God, however, your comment would be best posted in an area that deals with religious topics, not in a fashion article. As for the fashion trends, I think the 80's should stay dead and buried in its grave. Linebacker shoulders are not attractive on anyone except a linebacker, which the majority of women are not. I like shirt dresses though, wish I could find one that was flattering on me though, instead of just looking like I stole a dress shirt from my husband.

Why must everything and anything always be turned into a religious ranting spree?

Have you ever wondered where we are heading in our time on this earth?? Have you ever wondered if there is a God or if we were just a thing that came from a big explosion? I can tell you today that we were created by God and there should not be any doubters out there because of what sceintists now say that we were created different and complex due to the DNA factor. Plus the more they discover relics in excavating that Bible says happened and that there was no proof before just blows your mind. Lets face it the Bible was wriiten by men who were inspired by God to write it. The Bible also gives us clues as to when the day that God will get rid of all the evil in this world. Guess what??? Of all the clues the Bible gives us we are so close to that day. How would you like to live in a paradise world with no death, sickness, crime, hatred, hunger, poverty etc.???? John 3:16 tells us how in your Bible and if we do as the scripture says we have that hope of living forever. Take in knowledge of God and Jesus and follow the 10 Commandments and you will be on the right track. I have never seen so much hatred towards the Bible as I have this year and I cannot figure why. This really bothers me because I hate to see people not listen to the Bible because the time is short. Just as in Noah's Day as it is today once the door was sealed on the Ark it was to late to change and so it will be once Jesus and God returns it will also be to late. It is very critical to follow the Bible asap because we are in the last days. Remember do not follow man but only what the Bible says and you will be OK. Amen
