Fresh Bridal Fragrance

Alfred Sung’s newest scent, Always, was made to wear on your wedding day.

By Alison McGill

“I love beauty. And what is more beautiful than a woman on her wedding day?” These words come straight from Alfred Sung when asked to describe the inspiration behind Always ($88 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum Spray), his newest fragrance. The iconic Canadian designer has been creating gorgeous bridal gowns for almost two decades, so the fact that brides are the inspiration behind his new scent is no surprise. How to describe Always? In a word: romantic. The juice is a lushly masterful blend of water lily, kumquat and neroli on top, with mid-notes of pink peony and honeysuckle petals. The dry-down features sandalwood and patchouli, which gives Always a sexy, sensual finish. “I wanted to create a very special scent, that made a woman feel as good as she looks on her wedding day,” Sung says. “I truly believe the scent we’ve created is a classic one, which was part of the inspiration behind the name, Always. This fragrance is timeless and constant, just like love itself.”

Australia is expecting an Asia-led boom in resources investment over the next five years, bringing 'powerful and broad-ranging' economic benefits, according to its central bank. Deputy Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) governor Ric Battellino said the economy had emerged from the global financial crisis much better than expected, thanks largely to Asian demand for its commodities.
