Tips from Olympic hopeful

Nicole: The best tip I can offer in terms of physical fitness to get your body trimmer and toned is to add running to your daily routine. Running at least 30 minutes a day at a moderate to high intensity (on a scale of 1 to 10 it should feel like a 7), will allow you to increase your metabolism, lose weight, tone those legs and define your abs

FLARE TIP: Start by jogging at 5.0 for 30 minutes three times a week. Gradually increase to a comfortable, yet challenging speed, over the course of 8 weeks. Once this becomes easy, play with the incline!

Jessica Zelinka: My number one tip to get bikini ready would be take the time to make a plan of attack. Many athletes rely on this technique to stay motivated and focused on their goals. Writing down a specific plan, based on realistic goals, will help keep you on track. Once a plan is made, it is just as important to assess your progress along the way, and evaluate if your plan is effectively helping you reach your goals. If you are not meeting your goals, or finding it hard to stay motivated, take out your pen and alter your plan to something you know you can stick to and trust. Positive reinforcement is a great motivator, and sometimes meeting even small goals along the way can help you stay in the game!
