Fall wardrobe must-haves and how to wear them
By Jen O'Brien and Kate Daley
The trend - Platform pumps The revamped leather jacket The oversized vest Plaid The boyfriend blazer The statement necklace A pop of neon Riding boots
Think Mad Men -inspired 60s officewear and pair these pumps with a fitted pencil skirt. For a more casual weekend look sport them with boot cut or skinny jeans. This soft lamb leather jacket screams biker chic. Throw it on over a flowery sundress for a saucy and sweet contrast. This goes perfectly over your distressed denim. Wear it with a basic black, white or red T-shirt underneath. Plaid is no longer just for cowgirls. This looks best with jeans, leggings or even black pants. This jacket should be worn loose and slouchy. Roll up the sleeves and pile on your best bangles to take this look to the office. This neckpiece says it all so keep the rest of your ensemble simple. For day, try it with a basic tee and blazer or make it party-worthy by wearing it over a monotone silk dress. A simple way to try out the latest ‘80s-inspired runway trend. But just be wary of wearing other overwhelming brights with it. Only wear one neon item per outfit. Leggings, jodhpurs, tights or boot cut jeans look best with this stable-ready footwear. While they work great with pants, you can also wear them with a sundress for those in-between fall days.
