  • Why do black girls/woman wear weaves and wigs all the time, like it's the thing to do?

    Other - Beauty & Style - 10 hours ago

    Additional Details

Come on now, really? (yes, I know other women wear weaves as well.) I think that it is okay to wear a weave or a wig on SPECIAL OCCASIONS to add a little thickness or length, but everyday? I especially hate when people wear it down to the middle of their back, or dye it blond!!! (????) The only black people that has hair to the middle of their back, are African's. It is so tacky, they think that it looks cute, but in reality, it looks like a bad ass rug or a dead animal sitting on top of their head. I am mixed (Black and Panamanian, and their hair is thick and nappy), and yes, I have had a hard time getting my hair to grow, and the only time I ever wore a weave was this past summer when I got extensions (braids), and I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!! Just because I am mixed doesn't necessarily mean that I have "good hair". Spend the extra money and go to the shop and you will be amazed at how much your hair will grow. My hair has been the same length since I was 15, but now it is growing because I go to the shop. Stop wearing so much damn weaves, fake lashes, nails, and so much damn make-up, it's not cute, it really isn't!!! My black is beautiful! YOU MAY THINK IT'S CUTE OR SEXY, BUT REST ASSURE....... IT ISN'T EVEN FLATTERING!!! So, my questions is..... why do you feel the need to wear a weave? Actually, I think that it is a front. You look like a completely different person with hair that is not yours. It's kind of gross. And no a woman did not "steal" my man, I have been with my husband for 12 years. I really want to know why woman wear fake hair, why not just let it grow? I guess I will be fair, the only weaves that looks half way presentable are real hair.... I guess.

Eminem reveals 'dark' addiction

(BANG) -

Eminem stopped making music after his drug abuse spiralled out of control.

The 'We Made You' rapper decided to step out of the spotlight in 2005 in a bid to beat his addiction after an unsuccessful stint in rehab.

He said: "I wasn't ready mentally. I wasn't ready to give up the drugs. I didn't really think I had a problem. Basically, I went in, and I came out. I relapsed, and I spent the next three years struggling with it. Also, at that time, I felt like I wanted to pull back, because my drug problem had got so bad.

"I felt like, 'Maybe if I take a break, maybe this will help.' I started to get into the producer role more. I can still be out there with my music, but I don't have to be in the spotlight the whole time."

Eminem, who was treated for an addiction to sleep medication and also battled alcohol dependency, was forced to cancel the European leg of his 'Anger Management Tour' in 2005 due to exhaustion and his addiction.

The 36-year-old hip-hop star also revealed the death of his close friend and fellow rapper Proof in 2006 worsened his drug problem.

He explained to XXL magazine: "I think it kind of hit me so hard. It just blindsided me. I just went into such a dark place that, with everything - the drugs, my thoughts. And the more drugs I consumed, and it was all depressants I was taking, the more depressed I became, the more self-loathing I became.

"I'm just now at the point where I'm better talking about it. It took me so long to get out of that place where I couldn't even speak about it without crying or wanting to cry. Proof was the anchor."

Following a three-year hiatus from recording new material, Eminem began working on his sixth studio album 'Relapse' last year.

'Relapse' - his first studio album since 2004's 'Encore' - is due to be released next month.

dre hasnt made a good beat yet?? that guy who posted 1st is on more drugs than eminem and amy winehouse combined.. you ever heard of nwa? what about chronic 2001? how about dozens and dozens of songs from eminems albums? 50 cent albums? your screwed if you think dre has no good beats. you might not like dre thats fine but to say he never had any good beats proves you know nothing about music... put your headphones on and go back to the jonas brothers and jessica simpson...douchebag!
