But for accessories? We tend to stick to platinum, gold and diamonds. Well, at least until our priorities got bent - Bentwood, that is.
The boldly clever accessories, made from reclaimed exotic wood cast-offs , are not only intensely wearable (and covetable), but also ingenious little conversation starters.
Take the simple coffee cuffs ($68) that double as a bracelet and coffee sleeve. Sure, it makes our Starbucks order a little more difficult (Venti, no whip, decaf soy mocha...Oh, and hold the cardboard) but grabbing the cute baristo's eye with our style savvy and commitment to the environment is worth it. (Our adorable eco- bag only adds to the look.)
Our sleek money holder ($48) gets us noticed again when going to pay. The clip keeps our cash on hand and conveniently stashes our business cards for easy access. We're such converts we're now adding belt buckles ($56) and ultra-cute monogrammed dogtags ($29) to our wood collection.
As for that baristo? He'll call.
Knock on wood.
