Happy 100th B-Day, Converse!
Converse is celebrating 100 years of everyone’s favourite sneaker. In honour of the occasion, Converse brings to the market its newest collection, Converse 1Hund(RED) Artists. 100 unique designs by 100 international artists: Converse’s popular Chuck Taylor All Stars are redesigned and will be sold all throughout 2008. Check out the fave models of the divine.ca editorial staff and find your own collectible pair!

In the beginning…
Created in 1908, it was in 1917 when the first version of the all-black All Star hit the streets. Converse’s success was mostly due to NBA player Charles “Chuck” Taylor, who adopted them as his favourite shoes. In 1923, the shoes hit the market bearing his moniker.

A good cause
This is a great opportunity for Converse enthusiasts to do some good for humankind: a portion of the 1Hund(RED) collection’s profits will do to the Global Fund for the fight against AIDS.
