Sweet beauty treats

Ralph Lauren wants you to be committed to their new scent, Romance Always Yours (shown, from $78, at the Bay)—the follow-up to their blockbuster Romance. And because it’s the 10-year anniversary of the original fragrance, they’re even giving you a rock—the diamond-inspired cap that tops off a blend of their signature sun goddess rose with ginger, lotus and woody oakmoss.

Perfume is all about making a statement, so fragrances based on conversation hearts are entirely apropos. Demeter Fragrance Library’s trio of scents ($20, at Shoppers Drug Mart)—“Love Me,” “Call Me” and “Be My Valentine—may be based on the chatty, chalky candy, but they get their message across with a list of ingredients that includes ylang-ylang, jasmine, white rose, bergamot and musk.

Speaking of conversation hearts, the Avon Bath Heart Fizzy ($5, avon.ca) looks like it should be printed with “Hop In.”

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Left Bank fragrance emporium Diptyque, but a piece of the City of Light can be yours with their limited-edition Roses candle ($73, at Noor, Toronto and Ogilvy, Montreal). With the rose and geranium scent, the pink wax and even the Liberty-print box, it’s maximum girlie romance.
