Haute holiday hardware

By Stephanie Trendocher

With big baubles all over the fall runways, we were pumped when Prada announced its limited edition line of costume jewellery, out this month (in time for holiday wardrobe planning). The statement pieces are made of crystals, treated to produce a cracked effect, scattered across grosgrain ribbon and linked to weathered chains. And if sparkle isn’t your style, the collection also features quirky charm necklaces adorned with nuts, bolts and screws twisted into hearts. The collection starts at $530, so while that lace dress you’ve been eyeing may cost you three month’s rent, you can still get a piece of the action without the typical Prada pricetag.
