I've been having this conversation with several people lately: specifically, what to be for Halloween and whether to walk the ever popular 'skanky version of any costume' road or go the 'creative, cute and maybe not so sexy' route. Apparently though, super duper tight sexy, short, bright latex seems to win out. It seems to be the annual conundrum for girls as soon as going as a witch or princess just doesn't cut it anymore (that is, unless it's 'sexy witch' or 'sexy princess'). And for many women, Halloween seems to be a night when they throw caution to the wind and unleash their inner skank: short skirts, hooker boots, tons of makeup and lots and lots of skin.
Oh did I say women? I'm sorry. I meant the 9-year-old sister of a pop star.
Yes, apparently Noah Cyrus is at the perfect age to start slutting-it-up in the Halloween costume department.
Forget trick-or-treating, bobbing for apples or carving pumpkins, this seems to be the way some girls are celebrating All Hallow's Eve these days. And damn, that's scary. At least when older women dress up like turbo skanks, they've decided to skank it up of their own free will. In Noah's case, she's young enough that her parents should step in and show her what is what when it comes to dressing up (especially on the red carpet).
I'm 24 years old, and even I feel awkward letting it all hang out on Halloween. That's not to say I don't advocate ladies looking sexy, I just think a modicum of taste could be applied on October 31st. Apparently, Noah (and Billy Ray) did not get the memo.
Which begs the question? How young is too young for Halloween (specifically, the sexification of the Halloween costume)? And on that note, how old is too old to be out there trick or treating?
What are you going to be for Halloween? Do you go to the sexy or creative route when it comes to your costume?

P.S. And just for fun, here's our favourite video on the subject of ridiculously sexified Halloween costumes: warning for coarse language.
