  • How do I get my step son included?

    Family - 1 hour ago

    Additional Details

Money is not the issue. I got married in April I became a step mom to a wonderful 5 year old. During the last 3 years of knowing him we have become really close. My mom is aware of our closeness, he lives with me. My mom and dad ( but my mom does all the shopping) know I call him my son and we have a very close relationship. When his birthday came I told my mom and she did not get him a card or a gift. She did get the other grandchildren gifts. On my husband’s birthday she got him a gift ( cost a little over $100) and a card. My mom goes away the end of September and does her Christmas shopping. She asked me what should she get my husband for Christmas. Also I would not want her to get my child a gift and not my stepson, that is the worse. Me and my husband are grown what do we need Christmas gifts , my stepson is more important. Is it wrong if I say oh Maxwell (stepson) loves anything superman. Some info I live 500 miles away from my folks She is always talking about my step son to other people, like she has a good relationship. She gets my brothers’ girlfriend’s kids gifts. Money is not an issue. My steps sons moms family does not get him gifts he calls my folks grandma and grandpa. ok since we have not been married long and since I do not have a child yet he has not noticed. I just wantto start off so there is not a problem. His birthday was in July . I haev onlybeen his step mom and living with him since april it has been less then 6 months. Also this is our first christmas as a family. all the other grand children and my mom and dad live more than 500 miles away. I do not count when i was dating his dad because i did not live with him also were not married. My mom met my step son 6 months before we got married. I do not have children yet i am trying to prevent something

Yesterday I was at my neighbor and we have been friends since ever and we are 24 years old now, and suddenly she told me, "You stole my perfume a week ago, please give it back" ( I swear I didn't take any perfumes or any other things from her) so at first I thought she was joking so I told her what perfume I didn't take anything, she said you've always been stealing things from me and you took my walkman 15 years ago, which I didn't either .. so I told her so you shouldn't let me in ur place anymore since u think I am a thief, and when my mum called her and told her, u will find the perfume somewhere she said NO, I know that she took it.. I feel bad !! what can I do????

  • Marriage and Men...........?

This doesn't apply to all men I know, but why do some men complain about marriage, avoid marriage and refer to wives as their "ball-and-chain" or make equally as uncomplimentary comments and opinions to the negative on marriage yet they benefit so much from it. So many men would be so much worse off if it were not for the marriage they are in, and I don't mean just financially. I mean living in a home that the woman has made for them, not just a house. I mean caring for them when they get sick, fixing the foods they like to eat, cleaning house, cleaning clothes, caring for kids, being the natural nurturers that we are and loving and supporting them unconditionally along with all of the other lovely intangibles that women bring to the quality of a man's life. Why would anyone complain against these things? It's hurtful and unappreciative, I think. Yet I hear so many mencomplain against their wives, even though they bring alot of value to their lives. What is it, is it just talk or male machismo to let everyone know that they don't need a woman when some of them really do? Archie Bunker is a prime example (if you're old enough to remember him from All In The Family). A real blowhard, but without his Edith he wouldn't have been anything. For you guys who do this, why do you do this? Please be honest, I really want to know. 10 points for the most honest answer.

  • Should I hang out with this couple?

I will try to make a long story short. I am friends with this man that I work with. At one point, we almost got involved in a romantic relationship but in the end felt that our relationship would work better as friends. Yet our feelings for each other were pretty strong. Anyway, he's since gotten involved in a romantic relationship with someone else, and he wants us to all hang out, me, him, and his new girlfriend from time to time. He wants us to all be good friends and to do things together sometimes. He also wants me and her to spend "girl" time together and become close friends. I like her, and I like him. The trouble is, I don't have a boyfriend right now and sometimes I feel very lonely b/c they have their arm around each other and things like that and there I am. . . I don't want to break up the friendship that I share with these people but find hanging with them painful sometimes b/c of memories of me and him having romantic feelings and b/c I don't have anyone in my life right now. Any friendly, wise advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know a guy i used to work with over 4 years ago. we have kept in touch as we get on well. just the odd "how are you doing" texst or email and popping for a coffee when we are in the same town. his girlfriend has just spent the weekend sending me nasty messages about how i should stay away from him and throwing horrbile insults at me. We are just friends, I am marrying the love of my life in 10 months and he has no problem with me being friends with this guy. her previous husband left her for a friend, so i can see why she is so protective, but I havent done anything, she hasnt even met me, how can she judge me?? i still speak to him via email, as thats the only way he can do it without her finding out, but now that he is lying to her about not speaking to me, its making me feel awful! Is it just me, or am I in trouble here??

I've was in a relationship where the girl would just hit me for no reason if she was stressed. She usually hurt her hand and it never bothered me. I actually thought it was kind of funny that she couldn't hurt me. How would you have dealt with a situation like mine?

Well a few days ago out with my cousin and a friend I met one of his cute friends (A Girl). That night I got home I had a friend request on facebook it was the girl. I added her and we talked for 3 hours on facebook chat. I asked for her phone number ann we exchanged them and she asked me if I wanted to come to Laronde with her and her friends the next day but unfortunately I couldn't.She told me she would invite me the next time she goes. We the next day she texted me but i wasn't at my phone and responded like 20mins later and den when I texted her back she began to take a while to respond. However everyday this week we texted each other back and forth for like 3-5 hours and hung out one day for 3 hours together. While texting each other she asked me to describe myself and told me what she notices about me when I walk. But my cousin talked to her on the phone and for some reason he decided to ask her about the two of us and he that she said she just wants to be friends. So the next day I figured I should give up and while walking throught the hangout area in college she texted me asking me "where am u going looking so bored" and when I walked back through later she texted me saying "there you go again". Today is my birthday but yesterday she texted me happy birthday then wrote it on my wall as well. She also told me she hopes I come to school so she can give me a hug. I didn't see her at school today but while headed home i got a call and it was her telling me that she see me walking and to wait for her. She then hugged me for my birthday and said she saw me before but that I walk 2 fast and she didnt want to look stupid running after me. I asked her how she knew it was me walking infront of her and she told me that she knows the way I walk.

Mood Food

What to serve to get you in the mood for love.

By Aubrey Akalehiywot

Romantic meals are a fabulous way to show him how much you love him. If you want to seriously kick up the heat at the dinner table, make sure you stock it with a full spread of sensual foods that will ignite a little extra passion between the two of you. Here’s a quick primer of culinary aphrodisiacs.

Grapes. They are the perfect sweet treat to hand feed your lover. One of the most powerful historical images of seduction involved this fruit being hand fed to Cleopatra by Marc Antony. Pop a few of these bite-size gems into his mouth and you’ve set the stage for an evening (or afternoon) of passion.

Asparagus. This veggie is reported to have been served in the 19th century to grooms on their wedding days because of its potent aphrodisiac powers. Steam spears for a healthy and sensuous experience, dressing them with butter or olive oil to amp up the sexy flavour.

Oysters. These little sea creatures are probably the first things that come to mind when thinking about food as an aphrodisiac. Comprised of water, protein and carbohydrates, plus small amounts of fat, sugar and minerals, it is widely thought that these have a powerful effect on the libido. Why not give this decadent treat a try to see if they get your motors running?

Chocolate. Depending on who you ask, it is better than sex, but can it put you in the mood for love? It has long been revered for its romance-revving qualities and that is apparently thanks to phenylethylamine, a naturally occurring amino acid found in chocolate which has been considered to have special effects because it’s a substance released naturally in the human body when you're in love. Chocolate fondue, dipped strawberries or cake anyone?

• Red wine. When it comes to seduction, musky, masculine reds are best. You may also want to try an earthy Pinot or a burly Cabernet brimming with aromas of leather, tobacco and earth. Remember if you are using wine as an aphrodisiac the scent is key because those vintages containing masculine notes are believed to imitate the scent of male pheromones.
