this question is mostly for the guys but girls please answer as well. My boyfriend and I were each others "firsts" .. ever since the first time we had sex, he simply refuses to wear a condom. I'd really like to practice safe sex more for the risk of getting pregnant but he won't wear a condom. Any ideas why he would be so against condoms? I honestly think he's trying to get me pregnant. Help me out please. any suggestions other then birth control pills? Im 17 and he is 19.

Going to try to make this short & simple. I have been talking/dating this guy for about 4 months now - At first it seemed he was up my butt constantly because I wanted nothing to do with men. I have 2 kids, single mother, so it's been heart breaking for me. So he kept saying he was trying to "break the wall" that I had built from being heartbroken and said he wasn't giving up. Said he was ready to settle down and have a family. Was always asking me when are we gonna hang out. I finally gave him a chance, I considered a lot of what he was telling me and considered since he's 8 yrs older than me that he could actually be more mature. Now, after he's got me (got a piece of me, whatever you wanna call it)... it seems he doesn't make as much contact... and it upsets me. I had actually flipped on him about it ya know cause i'm not stupid... (I hate flipping but I had gotten to my boiling point). It seemed as if he was being like all of the rest of the typical player guys.... but when I flipped he got angry and said that he does like me but he just wants to take it slow - and that I needed to stop being insecure and acting psycho. Well, excuse me, but I don't know how "slow" we should go I mean he did get in my pants, he did say he wanted to settle down and have a family....... *When I say I finally gave him a chance I meant I finally let him start coming around.... he did hang around the house and the kids and did real well with the kids and that's what confused me... but I did let him in my pants about a month n a half - 2 months later...because I thought we were both really into each other*

  • how do i learn to accept my bf's many experiences?

    Singles & Dating - 6 hours ago

    Additional Details

I have only ever been with 2 guys. My husband for 19 yrs and my boyfriend of six months. Both were quite experienced before I met them. But my bf has been with lots of women and has several different experiences. He's been to a brothel, he's been in a threesome, he's had 4 girlfriends at one time. He's definately more experienced than anyone I know. I do sometimes regret not having more experiences myself and I think this is part of my jealousy. I also think that the idea of him having some great experiences with someone other than me hurts. I know our relationship is sucky at best (nobody except his sister knows about us and we both want to keep it that way). Since we have to keep a low profile, we don't get to have any great experiences together. Usually we get together before work about once a week. Contrary to popular belief, sneaking around and trying not to get caught does not make for a more exciting relationship. I know we can't be seen in public together. I know we can't let anyone we work with know about us. It just sucks that I can't have any thing to make me smile when I think about it. Before anyone judges him, we do work together and he does have some superiority over me (though not much) but I was the one who sought him out. I feel in love with him after we became friends and wanted the relationship to go further. But I also knew we would have to keep it a secret for both our sakes. I just want to know how to deal with my feelings. I don't want to tell him either because I don't want him to think he has to hide things from me. I like how open he is with me. I just want to be able to accept these things. Hope this all makes sense.

  • guys, what do you like better? completely shaved, or a little landing strip?

    Singles & Dating - 7 hours ago

    Additional Details

I shave my privates but sometimes I feel a little weird shaving it all (makes me feel like I look like a 10 yr old). I know my guy likes me shaved but says the amount of hair removed is my choice. I wish he would just say if he likes me bald or not. I figured since he won't tell me, maybe I'll ask a bunch of strangers what they think. Please be honest and please don't say whatever I feel more comfortable with. I'm asking because I want to know your own personal preferences. Thanx guys
  • Tired of Being Single (Loooong question)?

Hey everyone. So I'm 16 years old, going into my Junior Year of High School and I've never had a girlfriend. Not to sound arrogant or anything but I'm a good enough looking kid and I know girls like me because I always hear that so and so thinks/thought I'm/I was cute, hot, whatever and that so and so likes/liked you. Again, not to sound arrogant, I think I have a pretty good personality. I have a lot of friends (girls and guys) and I've heard more than once "***** you're seriously like the funniest kid I know". Anyway so in middle school (and I guess today still) I was really insecure. I thought I was ugly and that no one liked me even thought I had tons of friends back then too. I also would think I was in love with like a different girl everyday haha. I always changed my crush and I was always convinced I was in love with them but I never ever mustered up the courage to ask anyone else out myself (once or twice my friends did it for me but I denied it and the girls ended up thinking it was a joke.) Then when I got into high school I switched out of my district and went to a different school and got another crush but nothing like it was in middle school. Then over the summer after 9th grade I stopped liking that girl (I didn't even really know her, so I guess you could call it a crush, ya) Since then I can pretty much genuinely say I haven't crushed on or liked anyone since then. NO I'm not gay I still am very attracted to girls just none of them have stood out in particular to me or have gotten me to the point where I want to go out with them. For the first few months, this whole not-liking-anyone thing was awesome I felt so free. Now it's been I think a whole year since I've liked anyone and I'm really getting tired of it. (BTW i switched back to my old school district halfway through 10th grade so I've gotten to meet a lot of people.) Like I get really depressed when I think about being single now because a lot of my friends recently have been getting into relationships. But I'm also the kind of guy that won't just go out with any girl, I need to connect first. I guess you could also say I'm very shy around girls that I don't really know. Anyway my real question is: What should I do? I go to the Mall and the Movies a lot and I feel like I want to "hit-on" (for lack of a better term) girls when I'm there but I can't find the motivation. I guess the real thing is I really just want to like someone again so I have someone to try to go out with but the problem is that there's just no one that I like and I'm really tired of being single and not being interested in any one girl more than any other. I feel like if I try to meet new people I can find a girl I'll like enough to go out with, but again I'm pretty shy around girls i dont know. Please guys, if you have any useful advice i would APPRECIATE IT SOOOO MUCH because just thinking about this stuff makes me feel so depressed and lonely Thanks again PEAAAACE

Parental Anger

Toddler temperaments can trigger parental tempers

By Holly Bennett
1 | 2

It's easy to see how it happens. You've had a string of broken nights and too-early mornings. Your coffee just made you feel edgy, not better. Everywhere you look, there are things that need to be done: dishes, laundry, clutter. And you can't do them because your 18-month-old is clingy and contrary - maybe he's teething or maybe he's in the throes of toddler negativity. Whatever it is, he is not fun to be with.

Then you serve lunch, and he suddenly freaks out about being put in his high chair, throws himself backward shrieking as you lift him in, kicks your soup bowl off the table and somehow manages to jab your eye as he flails. And you feel it: a flare of red-hot rage so strong it leaves you shaky - and shaken.

What kind of parent can you be, to have such hateful feelings toward your own little child?

A perfectly normal parent, says Laura Bradley, a Vancouver family counsellor. "This is one of the most intense relationships we have," she says. "And it is the only one where we expect ourselves to have loving thoughts toward another person all the time!"

The toddler stage - when children yo-yo between clinginess and defiance and are driven to push us in their push toward autonomy - is bound to trigger our anger at times. That's OK, says Bradley; what's important is how we deal with it.

Feelings of anger

"It's not appropriate to direct our anger at our kids because it's scary for them," she says. (And, of course, physically hitting or shaking them can be downright dangerous.) Francine Roussy Layton, a mom of two who is also a clinical psychologist, agrees. "Finding different outlets for this emotion other than striking or screaming is essential," she says.

So how do we handle our feelings of anger?

Prevention

We know that when children are hungry, tired and frustrated, tantrums ensue - and we plan ahead to meet our kids' needs before a tantrum threatens. We can reduce our own vulnerability to anger in the same way, suggests Bradley. "Think, ‘I'm tired and have a short fuse today. What do I need to change in my day to take care of myself so I can take care of my toddler?' That's a very proactive, grown-up way to deal with that."

Build in breaks If you get a few minutes to yourself, try not to use it doing dishes, says Bradley. "Tell yourself, ‘I have to put my feet up twice a day.' When we lose patience with our children, it's because we're empty. We need to refuel."

Connect with other moms Jean Welton goes out once a month with some girlfriends. "It's a good way to blow off steam in an adult setting," she says. "We do talk about our kids and it's good to get some different perspectives." Welton also posts on a website where moms share their experiences and feelings.

Hone your parenting skills Toddler meltdowns tend to trigger parent meltdowns, so Angela Wallace has worked hard to figure out what works for her "spirited" two-year-old. "When she's calm, I'm calm."

Anger management

When anger does rise, how can we handle it?

Breathe deeply Anger is a physical reaction, says Bradley. "Your heart is pumping, adrenalin is released, so if you can slow that down, it slows down your reactivity and you're able to think." Slow, deep breathing calms the body which, in turn, helps us calm our emotions.
