  • Can guys explain this to me?

    Singles & Dating - 4 hours ago

Why do some guys, not all of course, feel threatened by a girl and see her as competition rather than someone he should care for and respect.Usually they are nice and respectful at first and some guys stay that way but some guys feel they have something to prove and start to play up. I get that girls do this too, but i'm interested in why there are some guys who do this. Is it a power struggle? If its a woman that they feel no control with? she threatens his ego in some way? I get that it depends on the type of women, soe can be loud brash and yell "I'm a strong woman!"- those women are usually weak and also have something to prove. I'm just talking about normal mature level headed girls.
  • Did she break up with me or was it me?

A few weeks ago she asked whether I was happy with her and if I wanted to continue the realtionship given she felt I still liked my ex. Two weeks later I broke up with her saying that I didnt think there was any future for us. Not because of the ex, but because we were not the right match. She agreed. A few weeks after when I called her she asked that I stop contacting her because she had found the the emails I had sent to my ex during our relationship. I had written how much I loved my ex and thought of her and how little my current gf meant. I was definetly embarrased, but still dont think we belong together. My question really is....was it me or did she break up..or was it mutual?
  • How do I stop being sceptical about guys?

I dumped my ex for being a sleaze. He was just into sex and was quite disrespectful so I dumped his ass pretty quickly. However there is this new guy who is everything I could want. He is reserved, intellectual, gorgeous well mannered refined and gentlemanly. He seems shy and stares at me a lot, his face lights up when we catch eyes and he holds my gaze and smiles at me. I really want to talk to him but part of me feels angry that he is showing me he thinks i'm attractive. because of my ex i'm wary of being seen as a sex object. I don't advertise myself as one i'm shy, dignified, quiet, bookish and dress modestly. How can I appreciate the fact that a guy actually seems to like me? I can assure you forlorn hope that it was only me who was mature. This guy was the biggest creep you could meet.

am 14 and i have this friend that is about 13 i knew her since like 4 years now and shes always been a nice helpfull person when we got to our secondary school at the end of year seven she started having fights at school and at the start of year 9 she told me she had sex with this random person and now she does it all the time. Yesterday i spoke to her and she was like ohh you know that guy from our year i had it with him. So all im wondering about is why does she do it and does she think it makes her seem cooler ?? Its maybe because she lives in a bad area or that she has 16 brothers and sisters and she is trying to have her own life without them i dont know what to think ???

  • My girlfriend broke up with me... I dont know how to take it in... Plus I have other things making me worry?

    Other - Family & Relationships - 8 hours ago

    Additional Details

My girlfriend broke up with me and this relationship was so much to me. She gave me my first kiss, she was always so nice, we were perfect in my eyes. We lived far apart, but I litterally walked 5 miles to see her at least 3 times a week. We lasted for 4 months, when she broke up with me... the hard part is that a couple days later she started dating a chick. It makes me feel like shit to think that I did something wrong, in fact, so wrong to turn her all the way to lesbian, and even harder to take in, is that she looks happier! I know I should move on, and I am... but She ment everything to me, and I feel like I was just being used. Other than this, my mother took custody of me, so I see my dad only on the weekends, and I really hate it over here. She yells at me, loses it all the time and I hate it. I've considered running away over night back to my dads, or my papa's. My friend recently died over here, my gf broke up with me over here, and I feel like this town is not where I belong. The school is so violent and ghetto, I am angry with my self and feel like an idiot for having so many problems. So far yahoo answers is the best thing because I can talk to people and they can help me.... Maybe it's just a stage, but I truly feel like I'm alone. I dont get along with the people here, and I'm just really depressed. Thanks to anyone who has enough time to read this.... I've helped alot of people on here I believe, and I just want some back. Not in a rude way, people do help, but you know... lol (I'm glad I can even say that...)

If she has you hold her and link arms and wont let you kiss her but it's obvious there's something there, what the hell's going on lol? She asks me how I am in relationships, she keeps bringing up gf and bf thigns. She put some flowers I gave her in her scrapbook. She told me today that I'm the only guy that's ever made her nervous and that she sees the way I look at her. She looks in my eyes and says she feels theres something I want to tell her, and there is that I like her, should I turn this into a relationship? Next time I speak to her I'm going to ask her on a date.

Awakening the senses

It's not just your curves that are being redefined by the experience of being pregnant. The hormonal changes of pregnancy are awakening your senses in powerful new ways. Your senses of taste and smell are much sharper than ever before, and your body is much more sensitive to touch. Here's what you need to know to make the most of these powerful sensory changes during pregnancy.

Taste

It's a classic early pregnancy conundrum: you find yourself unable to stomach foods you generally adore because those foods suddenly taste bitter or metallic to you.

Researchers theorize that there may be a method to Mother Nature's madness—a reason you've lost your taste for wine or blue cheese. Because your less-than-adventurous appetite encourages you to stick with a limited number of fairly bland foods, you're less likely to eat foods that could put your baby at risk.

As you head into the second and third trimesters, you'll likely find that your food aversions are replaced by a craving for sour and bitter foods—Mother Nature's way of encouraging you to expand your food repertoire again and get with the veggie program.

Once your stomach stops feeling so queasy and your appetite starts to rebound, you may actually see your changing palate as an opportunity to try new food combos (and, no, I'm not talking about the oh-so-cliché pickles and ice cream). Treat yourself to a meal out in a restaurant specializing in out-of-the-ordinary cuisine or see if someone special will pamper you with a homemade meal that leaves you feeling nurtured inside and out.

Scent

The same pregnancy hormones that sharpen your sense of taste also boost your sense of smell. While this sounds lovely in principle, it can be a little overwhelming in practice. Even the most pleasant fragrances, like your favorite perfume, can become overpowering. If nausea is a problem, lighten up on the scent front or go fragrance-free until you're feeling better.

If you find other people's fragrances hard to tolerate, carry around a slice of lemon or a piece of ginger-root in a bag—or a cloth that has been infused with lemon or ginger aromatherapy oils—so that you can immerse yourself in a pregnancy-friendly scent whenever the need arises.

Touch

Pregnancy massage could be just what the doctor—or midwife—ordered: a way to manage some of the more common pregnancy discomforts and to pamper yourself at the same time. It can help to reduce stress, improve your mood, decrease pain, lower the rate of obstetrical complications, and improve the health of your developing baby. A registered massage therapist (RMT) can design a massage therapy program that's safe and effective for you and your baby.

Your increased sensitivity to touch may mean that you prefer a different amount of pressure than usual while you're being massaged. If you find the amount of pressure that your massage therapist is using too light or too heavy, let the therapist know so that she can adjust the amount of pressure accordingly.

Your sex life can also be impacted by your body's heightened sensitivity to touch. Some women find the increased blood flow to the breasts and the genital region stimulating, others find it irritating. Once again, it's important to communicate your needs to your partner. The more clearly you communicate how and where you like being touched, the more you'll enjoy the sensual side of pregnancy.
