am 14 and i have this friend that is about 13 i knew her since like 4 years now and shes always been a nice helpfull person when we got to our secondary school at the end of year seven she started having fights at school and at the start of year 9 she told me she had sex with this random person and now she does it all the time. Yesterday i spoke to her and she was like ohh you know that guy from our year i had it with him. So all im wondering about is why does she do it and does she think it makes her seem cooler ?? Its maybe because she lives in a bad area or that she has 16 brothers and sisters and she is trying to have her own life without them i dont know what to think ???

Okay, so over the years my best friend has had a really great boyfriend - or so we thought. I'm regretting it a little since I got myself involved, but what he did to her was really horrible and the way it ended wasn't good at all. I'm not going to dive too deep into the details of what happened, but since I'm trying to help my friend cope I came up with a silly and stupid ploy to do for revenge. Apparently he cheated on her with this asian girl, and I feel cruel for doing this but I photoshopped his head onto a body of a Geisha... LOL!!!!! Stupid and immature, but my best friend Jenna needed a good laugh. We're debating whether or not we should send him and that girl the photo on Myspace or Facebook, but I'm kinda scared to, haha. What do you say? I think he deserves some embarrassment... Original picture - http://i45.tinypic.com/2d9bfo0.jpg Geisha makeover - http://i45.tinypic.com/142ubn8.jpg Hahaha, it's official. I am awesome. <3

  • I have a question, regarding her feelings?

So this girl and I are at the friends with benefits stage, but so far she hasn't even let me kiss. On saturday she was looking in my eyes calling me handsome, and shy, and she pressed her body up against mines for warmth, linked my arm in hers, I knew she likes me, but I only got to kiss her on the forehead. I rubbed her butt, rubbed her back at the party, just to let her know it's alright to be physical with me. But when around public, or my close friends, I don't like to be intimate with women. Well today she asked me how I am in relationships and she said she sees the tension in me, and she gets a weird vibe from me I say good or bad she says not bad, and that she feels theres something I want to say to her. She changed infront of me today with her sister in the room and she's real cool with me, whats her intentions? I'm starting to like her, but stopping myself because its a friend with benefit thing. I was going to text her 2nite and say "Whats up would it be bugging if I asked if we could kick it tomorrow". Good or bad idea? Thanks. She's cool and I'd get with her, should I take it in the relationship direction?

so my ex girlfriend, who broke up with me about 2 months ago, is a cheerleader. and today at school, she dropped her books and i walked over to her and picked them up for her. she told me thank you and i said "you're welcome" and i started walking to next class. then, she said "you smell good." and had a little smile (she always told me that when we were dating). also, after school, i was doing my homework in the lobby and she walked in but didn't see me at first. i looked at her but she didn't see me, so i just continued to do my homework when i heard a "hey" i looked up and she asked me what i was doing and everything. then she sat down beside me and started doing her homework too, we were the only ones in the room at the time. we talked quite a bit, and she brought up most of the stuff, because i didn't want to seem "Too" talkitive. then she told me that her sister and her ex boyfriend got back together a few days ago. the broke up about the same time we did. and she went into details on what he did for her sister and everything. i just want to know what you think my ex girlfriend was thinking?? and if you think she still has feelings for me? i still like her, but idk what to do about it!!

Argentine Congress considers legalizing same-sex marriage despite church opposition

Argentine Congress considers legalizing same-sex marriage despite church opposition

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Is Argentina ready to become Latin America's first nation to legalize gay marriage?

Gay and lesbian activists think so - and they have a growing number of supporters in Congress, which opened debate Thursday on whether to change dozens of laws that define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

"We can't expect social equality if the state is legitimizing inequality," said Maria Rachid, president of the Argentine Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Federation. "We now have the social and political context necessary to change the law."

It remains to be seen whether activists have enough votes to overcome opposition from religious groups. The Roman Catholic Church remains a driving force in Argentina, where presidents were required to be both married and Catholic until a 1994 reform.

Some Catholic and evangelical Christian groups have accused the government of trying to subvert the natural order of life, promote perversions and destroy the family as an institution.

"This should not be understood as the denial of anyone's rights," said Archbishop Jose Maria Arancedo of Santa Fe, who took a gentler tone in a recent radio address. "It's possible both to be progressive and to defend the family, founded on the institution of marriage."

Argentina's capital established its gay-friendly reputation in 2002 by becoming the first Latin American city to legalize same-sex civil unions. Four other Argentine cities later did the same, and such unions also now are recognized in Mexico City and some Mexican and Brazilian states. Uruguay alone has legalized civil unions nationwide.

Canada is the only nation in the Americas where gay marriage is now legal; in the Spanish-speaking world, only Spain has taken this additional step.

The capital's civil-unions law was initially celebrated as a huge victory for gay and lesbian rights, but such partnerships don't confer many rights exclusive to married couples, such as the right to adopt children in the name of both parents, to enable a partner to gain citizenship and to inherit wealth or be included in insurance policies.

"A civil union is a link that grants certain rights, but not those available to a married couple, which only a national law can grant," the bills' co-sponsor, Rep. Vilma Ibarra, told The Associated Press. "This is the first round in a long process, but it is already a success to have it out there."

Rep. Julian Martin Obiglio, a minority party member, is among lawmakers who would rather expand the rights that apply to civil unions than alter the definition of marriage.

"I don't think the term should be the same for a union between a man and a woman and two people of the same sex," Obiglio said.

The proposal has ruling-party support but President Cristina Fernandez has yet to take a public stand on gay marriage. Rachid said more than 20 lawmakers have signed on as supporters of same-sex marriage, and they believe they have enough votes in committee for a full vote in the lower house. It would then go to the Senate.

Rachid and her partner, Claudia Castro, were among the first same-sex couples in Buenos Aires to form a civil union - and the first to test Argentine law by applying for a marriage license in 2007. Their lawsuit over the denial is pending at the Supreme Court.
