  • dad died grandmother says life insurance was drained by funeral costs?

    Family - 6 hours ago

my father died. I am his only kid Im 27. my grandmother took a life insurance policy out on my father. I was never told the details. The arrangements was no funeral parlor 2 days after he died we went to the family church and had mass then went straight to the cemetery. I am unsure of how to find out if I was lied to. or if my grandmother was the one to end up with what ever the life insurance paid off. I have heard that she may have been the primary beneficiary as long as she survived his dying. and I would then be the secondary, only being beneficiary if my grandmother was deceased when he died. can someone put this in perspective for me please?

Okay, here's the deal. Whenever I like a guy,I don't want him to right away (if at all), so I act uninterested even when he shows interest. It's childish but it's a defense mechanism for me. So there's this guy I really like a lot and I've given him the cold shoulder, even when I tried to show interest (I'm messed up,I know). I want to know if there's a way for me to fix the damage, start over maybe. The only method that I haven't tried is telling him flat out, which I cannot (will not) do, especially since I think he make have lost some interest. If anyone has any USEFUL advice, strategies, etc., I'd greatly appreciate them

The Zoomer Report: Love and marriage

Love is apparently NOT enough to keep a marriage together.

The Zoomer Report: Love and marriage

You know what they say about love and marriage. Well now the scientific community is weighing in and love is apparently NOT enough to keep a marriage together.

Researchers from the Australian National University, say a couple's age, previous relationships and even whether they smoke or not are the factors that count. They tracked nearly 2,500 couples and found that a husband who is nine or more years older than his wife is twice as likely to get divorced, as are husbands who get married before they turn 25.

Children also influence the longevity of a marriage or relationship. One-fifth of couples who have kids before marriage separate. That compares with just nine per cent of couples without children born before marriage.

Women who want children much more than their partners are also more likely to get a divorce.

Partners who are on their second or third marriage are 90 per cent more likely to separate than spouses who are both in their first marriage.

Not surprisingly, money also plays a role: 16 per cent who say they are poor or where the husband -- not the wife -- was unemployed separated, compared with only nine per cent of couples with healthy finances.

And couples where one partner, and not the other, smokes are also more likely to have a relationship that ends in failure.

what about a woman who is nine years older? women who get married before 25? are there men who want children more than women and does that affect the marriage? the biases in this research were appalling.

well of course if you're on your second orthird marriage you are much more likely to separate, you've already shown you cannot commit!

These mentioned are common sense. Everything counts in Love and Marriage. Cooking, cleaning, smoking, love, kids, dreams, sex, money, wants and dont wants.. etc. Everything counts.
