Ok me and my boyfriend have been going out a while now and we have spoken to each other about sex. Im 15 and he's 17 and we are both virgins. I AM going to wait until i am 16 in February, and i have a very open close relationship with my mum (thank god) so i have talked to her about it about it and she is going to take me to the doctors to get tested and to go on the pill in February. Well i am posting this question because i want to now will it hurt? He is fairly big (if you know what i mean) lol, about 7 inches erected, he has fingered me and i bled the first few times but i don't anymore when he fingers me now, so does this mean i wont bleed when i have sex? And also is it better for him to go on top for the first time or me???? By the way i would rather not have anyone say im to young because i AM READY and we love each other and want to take our relationship further. x Thank you i just needed to know about the pain is all so im prepared if there is any. lol xx thanks

He shouts and gets angry for the slightest thing. He is very intolerant. He wants me to send him loving messages all the time, I do but not too many as we have only been dating 6 weeks. I want to take it slowly as I have been hurt before. I bought him presents (perfume, an easter egg, shirts). Sometimes he cancels dates but wants me to be available all the time when it suits him. Once did not show up at all and never called me. He went off for the weekend with his friends witout telling me and had his phone switched off. I was waiting at home for his call. He never apologised but ended up shouting at me that I worried his brother as I phoned his brother asking where he was and his brother didn't know. Yet, he wants me to be available for him when it suits him and gets angry when I am not. He gets angry easily for little things and has a temper. So I am not really sure he is a great guy .... He has no education and works in a factory and ever second week works on the night shift. I am studying for my Masters. His last girlfriends were vulgar and uneducated, one worked as a stripper. He used to work as a stripper. He is jealous and controlling and told him that I don't need to see my friends much any more. The first night we slept together he took me to a hotel. I dont know why he didnt take me back to his place. Ive been there since. I told him that I had been hurt in the past and that I wanted to take it slowly. He shouted and got angry and said "Everyone has been hurt in the past. Just get over it" He is not understanding but expects me to be understanding and caring towards him. Another time he got really angry because I asked to change bars and go to the bar next door as there were no seats at the bar we were at. Once when we slept together I went to the bathroom to get condoms. Three days later he brought it up in an angry voice that I destroyed the romantic moment by going to the bathroom to get condoms. Another time we arranged a blind date between my friend and his best friend and he got all angry and said "why would he phone her again as she won't sleep wth him, she is just looking for friendship" and was even shouting. SHOULD I CONTINUE TO DATE HIM? WOULD MANY WOMEN TOLERATE THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR? He also told me that I talk too much about my friends and their lives and that I should only talk about me and him and our future together. Also, some of his friends occassionally go with prostitutes even though they are married.

this guy hurt me in some way. he was always saying how much he "likes" me, he was telling me things like "your the one ... we've got so much in common... we need to go out ..." etc. at the time, when he was asking me out, I wasn't sure it was a good idea (I didn't know him that much, he was showing his interest, which turned out to be lie) so I said "maybe not now, maybe later". after this he stopped talking to me, I was so mad at him - he was ignoring me all week, and then - thanks to facebook - I found out that all this time he was adding my girlfriends to his friends list! and more - once my bro caught him during his date with one of my friends! luckily this girl didn't know that it was my bro and that this lier and hypocrite was asking me out as well. I was so mad at him. and the ugliest part of this story is that when he sees me in uni, he starts flirting! can you believe it? oh gosh I want to do something to make him feel miserable, angry and furious! I had this little plan, but I'm not sure it's good enough - I'll delete him from my friends list and then I'll send him msg like "sorry, my boyfriend didn't want you in my friends list" hah! how good/bad is that? or maybe you can suggest something else? he hurts girls' hearts, now it's time to make him feel that way! [evil laugh]. or maybe it's better just to ignore him? I'm confused.

he also is a rude smoker, messy and basically not a considerate person when it comes to sharing a house. In the beginning it was completely different, this was 3 years ago, now I get all this plus hardly any sex or much needed attention, and that was the best part in the beginning. So what does that say about me, honestly...no jokes please, im already up all night in tears!

My BF is such a nicer guy when he smokes pot. In fact he can be quite the jerk when he doesnt. everytime he gets some he is outside taking a hit every 15 minutes. its incredible. plus instead of getting tired from it, he stays up all night smoking it. He tried a few times to quit, but goes right back to it because he has no patience, flys off the handle, and stays depressed and is even mean alot to me. I dont know if I want him to quit or not, but im not sure i can handle it either way.

Too many dropouts: Report urges improved reading, writing skills for schoolkids

By Anne-Marie Tobin, THE CANADIAN PRESS

TORONTO - Children who aren't reading well by the end of Grade 3 are at risk of dropping out or failing to graduate, warns a new report released as kids across the country get back to their school routines.

But just because youngsters are attending classes, it doesn't necessarily mean they're mastering those all-important reading and writing skills in an expected time frame.

At least 30 per cent of students don't have sufficient reading or writing abilities by the end of Grade 6, says the report by the Canadian Education Statistics Council.

The report notes that about five million students are returning to school, but if nothing changes, at least one million won't graduate.

"A large number of students who are failing to complete high school are failing to complete because they haven't picked up a golden ticket along the way," says principal investigator Julia O'Sullivan, dean of education at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ont.

"And the golden ticket, as far as I'm concerned, is the ability to read and write well enough to support success in school."

The council is a partnership between the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, and Statistics Canada. For the report on key factors to support literacy success in the school-aged population, O'Sullivan reviewed literature from around the world.

One of the problems, she argues, is that the emphasis on teaching reading and writing in Canadian schools begins to fade after about Grade 4.

"By the time you get to junior high, it's not there at all. And so junior-high teachers expect that students are coming to them able to read and write well enough to learn from textbooks and to write what they know and think. And that's an expectation that we really have to change."

So, too, does training for aspiring educators who will be imparting reading and writing skills in the classroom.

The report says the International Reading Association recommends that primary teachers have 280 hours of instruction in reading and how to teach it.

But it notes that many Canadian teacher education programs fall substantially short of that goal, and many elementary teachers report feeling inadequately prepared when they begin to teach reading - especially if the students are struggling.

"The average amount of time dedicated to teacher education programs to preparing teachers to teach reading is between 24 and 36 hours, and it simply won't do," O'Sullivan said in an interview Friday.

At Western, she said her faculty has increased the amount of time in the program threefold, and "we're going to do more."

"Every graduate of a faculty of education should go on and be able to teach reading from the first day on the job," she said.

"And then they should have the supports from the school and the board throughout their career to help them build on their expertise."

Melody Paruboczy, executive director of the Movement for Canadian Literacy, says approximately 46 per cent of adults in Canada aged 16 to 65 don't have literacy skills at the level needed to function fully in our information-based society.

"If we could improve the literacy of the children within the school system, that would certainly go a long way towards helping us deal with the literacy issues in the adult population."

I Graduated at 16 i didn't anything think about dropping out. and im not going to college or university. Not everybody that graduates high school has to go to a post-secondary education and they don't all act high and snooty. like you may think. My best friend is at university and she thinks there all a bunch of morons too. And you can have book smarts and street smarts if you do or don't graduate high school. Plus now adays just about anybody can graduate high school. With any amount of credits. Half of my graduating class didn't have enough credits but they still graduated.

I dropped out in grade 11 (16 y/o). I was thrown into 5 classes that year that were both boring and completely irrelevant to me. Parenting, auto cad, and similar classes. Although there are those who drop out and end up on the street, there are MANY who drop out and end up starting their own successful business. Living in a college and university town, I've noticed that university students and grads think that because they have a piece of paper they are entitled to any job they want. However when it comes down to work ethic, the vast majority of them have none what so ever. And to comment about the reading, I never did read much when I was younger. Now at 23 I read anywhere from one-two hours each night.

imo you shouldn't be allowed to drop out until you're 18 and that should be law. If that was the case maybe I would have finished high school. It's hard to really understand when you're 16 you are seriously effecting the rest of your life and severely limiting yourself. I don't believe I'm a moron or stupid or whatever other comments some people are leaving. I simply hated school and as soon as I was presented with an opportunity to leave I took it. Now 10 years later I'm faced with the real possibility that I may never be able to afford to own a home.

Well, this is sad! 30% is a lot. Not all of those 30% are slow or dumb! May be it's time to say we don't either have good education system or teachers that are not really teachers! meaning not wll trained! This is Canada we are talking about not Afghanistan! Why this is not happening in Scandanavian countries? May be it's time to learn from them!

peachieq: though this is not always the case, those that drop out typically have problems at home, hardly a problem that can be solved through homeschooling. and to suggest that cutting what small salaries our teachers earn will solve anything is hardly logical. only the truely dedicated teachers(who already offer great oprotunities to our students) and those that are less qualified will remain as teachers. this will cause more problems with less teachers available and stretching them furthur will decrease the teacher to student ratio (an obvious benefit of homeschooling). no the answer to the problem is increasing the standard for the hiring of our teachers and if this comes at the cost of our tax dollars so be it, education should be a top priority

90% of jobs dont require an education david? i think you might be a little bit off there. though most who have dropouted out in the past have found work this will become less and less of an option as a more globalized world evolves. as more nations produce educated citizens and those educated canadian who work overseas and even at home will find foreigners are competing with them and those who are educated will find less work is available and settle for less in a career, and those at the bottom will find themselves replaced with more qualified educated workers
