Mother of All Solutions My Toddler’s Messy Room
My toddler’s room is always a disaster. I’m not a neat freak, but I’m tired of stepping on toy pieces in the middle of the night. Ouch!
I thought I’d seen clutter in the rooms of my first three kids—and then kid number four came along, a true clutter connoisseur. Here are a few quick tips that have worked in getting most of the stuff off his bedroom floor.
-Load up on stackable clear plastic bins with snap-on lids. They’re ideal for storing multi-piece toys because they allow your child to see what’s inside each container without having to dump the toy on the floor. -Store paint brushes and other art tools in a fishing tackle box or a tool box. (Obviously, anything that could cause a huge mess should be stored somewhere other than your child’s bedroom.) -Tuck slippers, baseball hats, and other assorted treasures in a shoe bag inside your child’s bedroom closet.
