Date Night

Keep the romance revved during your engagement with these inspiring ideas.

Provided by Weddingbells

1. Nothing says romance like an intimate dinner for two. So, go ahead and take a break from the wedding plans and enjoy a romantic evening in with your beau. A bottle of wine, a delicious meal, scented candles and divine dessert should put you two in the mood for love.

2. Want to keep that spark going? Play hooky from work together and be tourists in your own town for the day (don’t forget to take the camera!).

3. Spa it up! Plan a couple’s massage, or check out our special feature on sexy at-home massage how-to.

4. Keep things light and organize a games night with just the two of you. Make things more interesting and up the stakes with intimate favours.

5. Don’t be afraid to tap your inner teenager. Head to the drive-in for a scary movie and make out like crazy.

6. If you’re the stay-at-home type, maybe it’s time to break out of your shell and switch things up. Put your dancing shoes on, don your best party clothes and head out with your fiancé to paint the town red. Be selfish and make sure to not talk “wedding” for the entire evening–remember it’s all about you two.

7. Be spontaneous and ask your intended out for lunch, then make it a surprise with an unexpectedly romantic outing like a picnic at the park or a torrid tryst at the best hotel in town.

8. Have a mini-moon. Get away from the city lights and take a road trip to the country or to a cottage. Load up on music, food, books, and games and spend the weekend in blissful company.

9. Learn something new together. Take a salsa or cooking class and put those skills to good use at home.

10. Get athletic. If it’s summertime, stroll down the boardwalk or get out the Rollerblades. If it’s winter, go for a nice skate.
