The hunky jock
If you like the muscular type, the best place to meet him is probably at the gym. Ask him to help you out with the exercise equipment; he’ll be more than happy to lend a hand, and you’ll be flattering his ego at the same time.
Nature lovers may already know how easy it is to strike up a conversation with guys at a ski resort, on a bike trail, or near a rock face. Most people are smiley and open to conversation in these locations. Don’t start up a conversation by mentioning the weather, but rather by asking him for tips on the trail you’re about to trek, directions to get somewhere, or by inviting him into the ski chalet for some hot chocolate.
The artsy guy
In general, the artist type may be a bit shyer than the rest. All you need is the courage to go up to him. To meet a painter, a sculptor, or a photographer, why not hang around an artist supplies shop? Tell him about your interest in art, or how you’d love to try his particular medium. Here’s a trick that’s bound to work: bring him a beer! He’ll be charmed by the gesture and you’ll be able to chit chat about the band on stage and any of the other things you might have in common.
The cultivated cutie
Keep in mind that the cultivated cutie has a thirst for knowledge. This means that you’ll probably find him in a museum, a library, or a bookstore. Try to remember what seems to interest him most during lectures and expositions; if his taste resembles yours, you’ll have loads to talk about.
You can also meet him at a theater or at an independent movie screening. We know, it’s not so easy to strike up a conversation in this setting, but nothing’s keeping you from discussing the movie after it’s over.

There are so many places you can meet the jet-set type: film premieres, trendy restaurants, not to mention clubs, bars and lounges. The jet-set hottie is usually very approachable since he goes to these places to kick back and relax. The refined man is an epicurean; he likes great food and good wine. That’s why you’ll probably meet him while having supper at a common friend’s place or at a wine tasting event. If cooking is something you’re interested in, why not sign up for a class? You may find yourself whipping up a tasty recipe with a man—the man—you’ve been waiting to meet all this time!

There are loads of different places you can meet men. You simply need to venture outside of your comfort zone. Why not go to a different grocery store this week to see some new faces?
