  • dad died grandmother says life insurance was drained by funeral costs?

    Family - 5 hours ago

    Additional Details

my father died. I am his only kid Im 27. my grandmother took a life insurance policy out on my father. I was never told the details. The arrangements was no funeral parlor 2 days after he died we went to the family church and had mass then went straight to the cemetery. I am unsure of how to find out if I was lied to. or if my grandmother was the one to end up with what ever the life insurance paid off. I have heard that she may have been the primary beneficiary as long as she survived his dying. and I would then be the secondary, only being beneficiary if my grandmother was deceased when he died. can someone put this in perspective for me please?

Okay, here's the deal. Whenever I like a guy,I don't want him to right away (if at all), so I act uninterested even when he shows interest. It's childish but it's a defense mechanism for me. So there's this guy I really like a lot and I've given him the cold shoulder, even when I tried to show interest (I'm messed up,I know). I want to know if there's a way for me to fix the damage, start over maybe. The only method that I haven't tried is telling him flat out, which I cannot (will not) do, especially since I think he make have lost some interest. If anyone has any USEFUL advice, strategies, etc., I'd greatly appreciate them

i like this guy. ever since i told my friend how much i like him, she flirts with him right in front of my face and then brags about how much they talk and how good friends they are. the first time i told her that she kept flirting with him in front of me, she told me she would stop. it got to the fourth time i was telling her and she said she would stop talking to him altogether because she wanted to prove to me that she was a better friend. i told her it was her last chance. its now at the sixth time and ive had enough. she started telling me how her and my crush started talking on the phone heaps and texting and stuff and that he asked her out and she was just rubbing it in my face. i got really angry. do you think i was right to get angry at her? i recently talked to the guy i like and he told me everything that she said was pretty much bullshit besides he called her for half an hour once to find out my best friends phone number because they are like brother and sister blah blah. also i recently talked to my friend (the bitch)'s ex best friend and she told me that my friend had done the exact same thing to her boyfriend. how do we show her what she is doing? we have both tried telling her multiple amounts of times but she just says that we dont make sense. so any ideas on how we can make her stop and show her how much damage she is doing? or should we just let it go and let karma get her? please help.
  • Is he flirting with me or just being friendly?

I am friends with this guy that I've hung out with 4 or 5 times. I have a crush on him and it seems like he is always flirting with me. The first time I met him it was cold and he put his arms around me and warmed me up. It seems like every time I see him he hugs me, lays on me ( jokingly), calls me his lover, etc. He gave me his number (but didnt ask for mine) and I texted him so he would have my number. We had a short conversation, only 8 or 9 texts long. I didnt hear from him for about 3 days, and then he texted me last night saying "hey cutie". We had a good 30 minute conversation, and then he just stopped replying. So, does it seem like he is flirting or looking for something more?

Dealing with a Flirty Boyfriend

How to cope if your guy just loves the ladies ...

By Vicki Karigiannis
Dealing with a Flirty Boyfriend
Even when part of a couple, it may sometimes be hard to quash the flirty behaviour one used to their advantage while single. If your man has a habit of being overly-popular with the ladies, we’ve got seven tips on helping you confront him and deal with it

Recognize if he’s actually a flirt.
Flirting is in the eye of the beholder; how would you define it? If your man merely glances in a woman’s direction, don’t bother making a big deal. He’s a guy, after all; plus, we’re sure you’ve glanced at your fair share of men, too! Flirting actually involves talking and maybe touching another woman in a certain manner, so be sure you know what you’re accusing your guy of before you say anything.

See if he’s overstepping any lines.
If your man is the flirty type and enjoys chatting with other women, establish whether his behaviour is innocent or not. If he’s deliberately flirting with other women in front of you or is actually showing romantic or sexual interest in his conversations or mannerisms, then you have a right to be upset.

Figure out if it truly bothers you.
Some women may be cool with a flirty boyfriend, since all it may imply is that he’s a very sociable person. For some—no matter if the flirting is innocent or not—it may just bring out underlying jealousy and insecurities.

Tell him how you feel.
If the flirting is innocent on his part, he may not even realize he’s doing anything wrong or upsetting you.  But if his behaviour makes you uncomfortable, it’s important that you let him know.

Find out why he’s flirting.
If his flirting isn’t above suspicion, ask yourself this: are there any problems in your relationship that may hint at why your guy is flirting with other women? He may not be getting something from you—attention, compassion, love—that he is subtly seeking elsewhere. Talk it out.

Establish guidelines.
Once you’ve discussed your issues with his flirting, decide what happens next: does he have stop lest he lose you for good? Or do you let him continue with a few ground rules (no touching, no flirting in your presence, etc.), knowing that he doesn’t mean any harm? You need to make a decision that works best for the two of you as a couple; don’t say you’re cool with his talking to other women if you actually are not.

Try your hand at it.
If you both decide the flirting is nothing but harmless fun, why not join your guy in his game? Go to a party, go your separate ways, and innocently flirt with different people following any above-mentioned guidelines that you may have established. (Be sure, however, to keep things flirty but platonic; you don’t want to lead anyone on and make them think you’re going home with them!) Exchange faraway smiles with your guy throughout and, by night’s end, meet up and head out. This could leave you both giddy with excitement, which may actually be good for your relationship.

The last part is ridiculous - what a way to play with fire. Good luck to whoever decides on such a lame rote that can inevitably lead to other things like cheating for one.

The last part is absolutely stupid. It would be like having an open sexual relationship or reminds me of a couple going to a swingers party. I don't appreciate my bf flirting with other women because I don't do it because I love him enough that he is the only one I ever want to give my attention to and I expect the same.

I agree with #2, it would be kind of stupid to spend a night flirting on separate ways at the same place. You better solve out the differences between your girl/guy and step up the realtionship. I hope Vicky Karigannis thinks better next time she advises such non-sense behaviour. My advice to you girls: if your guy keeps flirting say goodbye, though painful, you'll be better alone. You deserve full attention and most of all, respect. Good love, good luck!

This article was alright until the "try your hand at it" part... Suggesting to go to a party, and each go your seperate ways and flirt? I was in a relationship like that once, where my guy and I would spend the night "flirting" with other people, and it gave a lot of people the impression that we were both single. That's probably the most stupid suggestion. It even made things worse, and he ended up cheating on me in the end. But each experience is different!
