From the ladies perspective, is there such a thing as a dude that is just too clean? or if given a choice, do you prefer to be with someone that smells good all the time? Recent studies have suggested that having too many showers, etc. may actually affect your immune system; but I wanted to know if the ladies had a preference.

I love my partner so much, we have been together for nearlly 10 years. I know of so many people who have split up and divorced people too. I said to my friend what would you do if your husband left you and she said, there is always someone else round the corner. My problem is I love my partner so much and I know he loves me but I am scared of him leaving me one day, it seems to happen so much in life. I couldnt stand it. I dont want anyone else who maybe round the corner I just want him. Many of the people I know leave because of an affair. I worry in case one day he meets someone else that he will fall for. He says he wont but how do you know unless you meet that person that makes you feel excited? He says he still feels like that with me and noone else could make him feel like that, How can anyone know until it happens? I trust he wouldnt sleep with anyone else for the sake of it but how can you trust someone not to do that if it just happens and they didnt expect it to either?
  • Can guys explain this to me?

Why do some guys, not all of course, feel threatened by a girl and see her as competition rather than someone he should care for and respect.Usually they are nice and respectful at first and some guys stay that way but some guys feel they have something to prove and start to play up. I get that girls do this too, but i'm interested in why there are some guys who do this. Is it a power struggle? If its a woman that they feel no control with? she threatens his ego in some way? I get that it depends on the type of women, soe can be loud brash and yell "I'm a strong woman!"- those women are usually weak and also have something to prove. I'm just talking about normal mature level headed girls.
  • What should I do about him?

    Singles & Dating - 6 hours ago

    Additional Details

I have a friend that i've known for about 9 years. We were quite good friends 9 years ago, but after that we only saw each other occasionally for years. About 6 months ago we got closer again and started seeing each other more regularly. He said to me a few months ago that all those years ago he had a massive crush on me. I was surprised and told him i'd never seen him as anything other than a friend. But I assumed he was over that. It turns out he's not and a friend of his took me to one side the other day and told me that he really, really likes me and since then he's been making it really obvious. Like he made some burritos when i went round to his flat and they were so spicy I could only eat a bit of one and he was visibly upset and kept saying sorry and that he'd f*cked up. I felt really guilty for not being able to eat more. When we chat on MSN or facebook he often implies that he likes me. I've told hm 3 times now that I only see him as a friend and now it's getting to the point that i'm uncomfortable around him. He is a really, really cool guy, I just don't fancy him The thing is, what do I do? I really want to keep this guy as a friend, he's a lot of fun and I like the people i've met through him a lot. I know the best thing is to probably just stop hanging around with him but I don't want to have to do that
  • Why would I say the wrong name while having sex?

    Singles & Dating - 6 hours ago

    Additional Details

Ok so i know this has probably happened before but while having sex with my gf i popped out the name of my ex. Not only do i feel awful about this, but its eating me up inside as to why. The only thing i can think of is she was on top and the only girl that ever did that before was my ex, so my fool male mind shot out the name it associated the feeling with. I know all the girls that will reply to this will probably think me some scumbag, but I'm not cheating on my current gf, i love and adore her more than anyone i've ever met, that's why this is killing me. To boot I honestly hated my ex, she moved in with me after like 2 weeks, stayed eating my food, using me as a taxi, and just caused more problems for me than anyone i've ever been with for 6 long months. I didn't have the balls to boot her to the curb and let her live on the street so that's my fault, but why in the world i moan her name?! I'm sitting here with the greatest girl i've ever met, and i blurt out THAT name. Not even a famous name like Heidi Klum, but my freaking ex! I keep asking myself WTF, but nothing comes to mind really other than i'm a total moron. So if any guys, or girls have any idea what the hell i was thinking please enlighten me. She's sticking around for now, but i don't know for how long, all i know is i feel like i don't deserve her.

  • Should I forgive my best friend?

    Friends - 6 hours ago

    Additional Details

My best friend of twenty odd years decided to send me a email the other day commenting on my grammar and said that my English was very bad. I had made a comment about a person in a picture and she picked me up on it, saying how, it was only a simple grammar mistake but that I should improve my english. I took this very badly, and probably replied in haste with a few horrible comments, she then said she knew I would act this way, but what I cant understand is, if she knew I would act this way, why would she do or such a thing. She has apologised but when she does it doesn't seem very sincere because she then comes back with, I was doing you a favour by pointing out your english errors, Im sorry you feel this way but......etc etc. I ended up texting her and apologising , saying I probably overreacted but she then left my 16 hours to stew, thinking that it was all my fault...again what friend does this? Im seriously stressed and upset about the whole situation, we have been best friends for years and it came out of nowhere, do you think I should forgive her and move on or would you end the friendship?? I'd really appreciate your advice peeps .
  • Did she break up with me or was it me?

    Singles & Dating - 7 hours ago

A few weeks ago she asked whether I was happy with her and if I wanted to continue the realtionship given she felt I still liked my ex. Two weeks later I broke up with her saying that I didnt think there was any future for us. Not because of the ex, but because we were not the right match. She agreed. A few weeks after when I called her she asked that I stop contacting her because she had found the the emails I had sent to my ex during our relationship. I had written how much I loved my ex and thought of her and how little my current gf meant. I was definetly embarrased, but still dont think we belong together. My question really is....was it me or did she break up..or was it mutual?

Trick-or-treaters on Hudson Bay get helicopter escort, polar bear patrol

CHURCHILL, Man. - Most trick-or-treaters are well-versed in Halloween safety: travel in groups, wear colourful clothing and only stop at brightly lit homes.

The drill is slightly different, however, for kids in a remote Manitoba town on Hudson Bay.

Youngsters in Churchill are warned not to dress in furry white costumes, to steer clear of baited traps stuffed with seal meat and to listen for the tell-tale sound of fireworks.

That's because these candy-seekers have more to worry about than ghosts and goblins. They need to avoid a different kind of predator on Halloween - the polar bear.

In Churchill - known as the polar bear capital of the world - Halloween falls smack in the middle of the busiest time for the iconic mammals. The bears are restlessly wandering around as they wait for cooler temperatures so they can head out onto the frozen winter ice.

Add to that streets crawling with about 300 trick-or-treaters and their tasty bags of treats. The combination could be deadly.

But Conservation, Parks Canada and RCMP officers have ensured everyone's safety for the last 40 Halloweens and this year is no different. Thirty of them will encircle the town and keep an eye on youngsters going door to door.

"It's a precautionary measure because the polar bear is a predatory animal," said Const. Mike Boychuk. "Our main goal is to have a safe community whether it be from humans or from bears."

School children get a visit from the polar bear patrol team to go over safety tips. On the day of Halloween, several conservation officers take to the sky in a helicopter to see if there are any bears nearby. As dusk descends, Mountie patrol cars and other emergency vehicles are parked around the town's perimeter with their lights flashing.

Other units patrol the town of about 1,000 and also look out for bears, while about half a dozen bear traps baited with seal meat are set up.

If a bear is spotted, said conservation officer Andrew Szklaruk, he and his colleagues are called in to shoo it away.

"We'll use our trucks, our horns sometimes and also 12-gauge shotguns with cracker shells and rubber bullets at times," said Szklaruk. "Our cracker shells are pretty much like fireworks. They're launched from the 12-gauge shotgun, go out about 200 feet and explode making a large bang."

That kind of ruckus is usually enough to make a bear think twice about entering the town, Szklaruk said.

But if the animal persists, a tranquillizer dart is used and the bear is carted off to "polar bear jail" - holding cells where the bear is isolated until it is released back into the wild.

The precautions seem to work. Few can recall a polar bear actually breaching the town's perimeter on Halloween since the program started in the 1960s.

The last deadly attack in Churchill didn't even occur on October's spooky night, but in 1983 when a resident who was scavenging packages of ground beef from a burned-out hotel ran into a bear in a dark alley.

Churchill Mayor Mike Spence said the evening bear patrol has become routine, both for parents and their children.

Kids know not to dress up like polar bears or anything resembling a white furry beast for fear of sparking a false alarm. They are told to stay away from bear traps and to never follow any large bear-claw footprints in the snow.
